I've been contacted by a Jose Crespo. I sent him a link to the snakes available. He then emailed me back that he was sending payment. I quickly emailed back to ask him which snake he wanted so I could hold it for him. I never got a response. He said he was sending a Cashier check so he needed my address, and phone. Continuing to ignore several requests to ID the snakes he wants? Now I get a phone text that he over paid by mistake the agreed amount. There was no agreed amount. He said to cash it, and he would tell me what to do with the overpayment. This screams scam to me! Has anyone else been contacted by Jose Crespo?

Agreed, I've seen similar scams before where they send Monet orders, and ask you tio send back a portion. The money comes out of your account in the end.

Classic money order scam. Don't cash it, and if you feel like it, tell him you destroyed it.

He saw my ads here on Fauna, and contacted me thru email, then after I Gabe him my cell number by text.

This is a very old scam but, I haven't really seen it around the boards much for a long time. It's old school most of the stammered have went digital lol. Seriously if he does in fact send you a money order do not cash it.

Yup, crespo did the same exact thing with me. Sending me a cashier's check and telling me he overpaid. Has Scam written all over it. Just rip up the check

The name and address to send the money back are the same than the one used by Ruben Jake [email protected] who also share the same phone number 708-467-9137 with Scrap Metal aka Fred Wilson

He is still around. Just got a message from him offering to pay with cashiers check and offering to pay extra $50.
