    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I ordered a rack from Jeff a week ago, but I have not had any sort of confirmation email other than from paypal. I E-mailed him 4 days ago but have had no response, and when I call no one answers. Is this guy still in business or what. I see him posting snakes and other shenanigans on facebook every day so I know he isn't dead. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate it.

You ordered a rack. Got it. Can you please post correspondence, email, text ext? Did you engage him on FB?
 
He is not posting anything on his business page. Only his personal facebook, which I have not messaged him on. This was my e-mail to him:
I didn't receive any confirmation on my order on 9/1/17 and just wanted to make sure everything was processing.
Transaction ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Simple and to the point? I didn't want to muddy his personal facebook with business messages so I have not gone that avenue, yet. I haven't heard a word from Jeff so that is it.
 
Even when he was in business full steam it might take a few months to get your rack....so who knows, if you're in a hurry you went to probably the worst place in the hobby.
 
Yeah, I've ordered a few times from him. Never got confirmations on anything. I always waited about a month to call him. Still had to wait, but always got my product. If you needed it fast, not the right company.
 
If it is any consolation he is pretty consistent. Takes a long time to get your product, but people are generally satisfied. I would not get too bent out of shape not hearing back from him for a bit. You still have a few months ahead of you.

I've ordered 2, 5stack's from Ron. This was back on 2004-06, Time frame looks to be the same today as back then! Well worth the wait tho = )
 
I have always said that caging is one product that you should almost never need on an emergency basis. You can almost always anticipate collection growth. I know that we are a not an "on demand" consumer society but quality takes time. He makes the absolute best cages for the money of anyone in the industry, imo. If you don't know you're going to need an extra rack or cage 6 weeks in advance, you need to look at how you're running your collection because somewhere, you're doing it wrong.

That's sounds about right. You will get what you ordered without any communication or very little. I have cages Jeff built 20 yr's ago and they preform flawlessly. Try to be patient.

I tend to agree - I would be frustrated with the lack of communication as well. It sounds as if the seller makes a good product and comes through in end, so hopefully it will be worth the wait. Still, it doesn't take much to answer an email or a call....if you're going to take someone's money you should at least be able and willing to let them know where their order is at.
 
I've ordered many racks and cages from Jeff. His communication skills are garbage... he basically will not respond to an email, but he answers the phone pretty regularly during business hours... might have to call a couple times, but you'll reach him. Of course he'll act completely shocked that you were expecting any sort of confirmation or communication from him. Most of my orders show up between 5 and 9 weeks... I think his site claims 3 to 5 weeks... hahahaha lies. The product is very good quality and if there is any issue with it, he'll replace... he is very good at taking care of customers in that regard.

This is a good enough reason for me to take my business to someone else, also if you do enough research you will find a lot of unsatisfied customers due to his "customer support skills."
 
That's disconcerting. Maybe PM or email him a link to this thread? I haven't tried to search it but I'm sure there are others in the same boat. I use AP and they ship super quick so guess I'm spoiled rotten!
