Read the story earlier today, it's from 2011 and she states she's been in the business 8 years, which means she was 12 years old when she started her business, and knows what she's doing.

As far as changing her business name, why change a good thing if it's not broken?????

Went back to see her ads here on Fauna, low and behold, she deleted all 3 of her ads, I posted questions on all 3, Quincy Leon stated on the albino iguana, the photo used was from his website with out his permission, on the albino sulcata ad, Quincy stated the photos probably belonged to Strictly reptile.

In my opinion, why would someone on the up & up delete their ads, when a simple explanation would suvice.

Just checked her farcebook account, she's still using Quincy's photo..

Stranger things have happened, but if it walks like a duck, & talks like a duck, well you know the rest of that story......

There's nothing stopping her from chiming in here.

Oddly (and somewhat of a red flag) their online site does not seem to provide contact info or a way to ask questions about a prospective purchase. But they do have a fb page so I sent them a link to this thread there.

The albino iguana photograph being used by her can be found on our shop facebook business page Snakes at Sunset. It was an old cover photo and profile photo of ours for the shop FB page, taken by us of our animal.

It appears that she caught on real quick that using other breeder's pictures for the "Forbidden Pets" idea was was not going to fly, especially with the Fauna community.

Forbidden Pets FB page is now gone and the links/ads from Crazy Critters FB to it are now gone as well. The Forbidden Pets website now reverts back to the original 605critters.com. Why the attempt/hassle to create that entity using other people's pictures still escapes me. The terms and conditions were also copied and pasted from Strictly Reptiles. In her haste, Strictly's email was left in the paste job last night.

Their South Dakota store location closed back in Nov 2018. Their FB page states:
"In addition, recent financial challenges, due to unforeseen changes in the pet store industry, as well as the illness in the building have left us with little choice but to make the heart-wrenching decision to immediately close down the store and move on to other adventures."
Again, not sure why she would do what she did, doesn't make sense.

If intending to do actual business where a retail customer receives a product, the goal was probably drop-shipping from the look of things. Advertise an animal for $3000. A retail customer pays the "front" $3000 plus shipping. The front pays the "back" $1500 plus shipping. The wholesaler/back ships the animal to the retail customer under the front's name (which is a service offered). The retail customer is none the wiser.

Lots of vendors who superficially appear to have a bit of everything do this. Others cherrypick in person from such wholesalers. Others still really do work with all of the things they advertise.

I suspect drop-shipping was the intent here. They would never even have to interact with an animal.

If that's actually the situation she intended it to be, then all she had to do was chime in and say so, going about it the way she did made her look like she was up to no good.

In addition she delete her FB account, her Fauna ads, ect.

Honest brokers/dealers DON'T go about it the way she has/did


It is, what it is!
