    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

BAD EXPERIENCE WITH STEVE RAYMOND - RARE REPTILES
A year ago I bought an albino boa from Steve Raymond and I still haven't been able to get not even a single receipt from the animal. I also paid the shipment twice because it was part of the initial payment and I had to pay again to release the boa at the airport. After all that the guy disappeared and one year later I haven't been able to contact him, of course plenty of phone calls, voice mails and he also moved from his address. My concern is that sooner or later I will be moving overseas and I'll need some kind of document to export the animal out of the US. Have anyone seen Steve Raymond around?? Do you know how can I get a document for this boa?? Please be aware of Steve Raymond.
 
Does anyone know if this guy had one of the albino surinams?
I ask because the early part of last year....or very late part of the year before...he was selling an albino surinam.

I no longer have the e-mails and pictures (computer crash).
 
Double shipping

I'm looking for Steve Raymond too. He gave me the double shipping trick about a year and a half ago. He billed me for shipping and then sent the animal collect. He assured me he would reimburse me, but never did. If anyone knows his new info, I do not mind starting the phone calls and e-mails to get my money back. In the very least, I got a receipt. By the way, the animal purchased was an adult anery boa.

I know Steve Raymond

I've known Steve Raymond of Rare Reptiles since New Years of 2000. We've been really close ever since. GREAT GUY!!!!
 
Nothing like a friend to bring up a bad guy post that's 4 years old back up to the top of the BOI. Something tells me he's not going to want to thank you for it.
 
It may be too late, but I may be able clear this up. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience. Steve Raymond and I used to be very close, but now we are just friends.

2001 was a mess. The big dogs were taking every pathetic tactic to take out the little guy. All of those low life scum were successful. Steve was getting ripped off left and right and I was trying to fight against the slandering.

I did keep records though so I was able to have a HUGE FALSE law suit against Steve Raymond dropped because I had all the correspondence, documentation, and receipts regarding the case. Fighting that kind of b.s. caused me to fall behind on receipts and shipments.

Steve Raymond is a great guy and never intentionally did anyone wrong. People have "STORY TALES" about him, but most of them are not true. Steve was a victim of this cut throat reptile business. Unfortunately, other people were affected by it.

Well ain't that just peachy! If you know him, tell him I'm still looking for my $70 over charged shipping fee (see above post). Heck, if I can get the $70 back I'll skip the interest and penalties....
 
A year later, we have another friend to back Steve, yet no answers about his double billing for shipping.
 
Not another friend, they're both the same person with different screen names.

And her explanation is no explanation. If her claims are true, then she's essentially saying, "well, other people were screwing steve over, so he had to screw other people over to get by".

You got the lawsuit dropped? Who are you?
You have all correspondence and receipts? Who are you?
You were fighting that kind of b.s.? Who are you?
Caused you to fall behind on shipments and receipts or caused Steve to fall behind? Who are you? A little Freudian slip maybe?

you will have to forgive me here.

But everytime I see that, it was always spoken by the NOT SO cream of the crop of the reptile business.
The Bad guys always accused the big guys of trying to keep them down. why is that? I am not accusing you..... errrr steve of being a bad guy.
I am just saying that out of the 50 times I have heard that statement, it was ALWAYS spoken buy a "BAD" guy.

My experiences with the Big guys in the business has always been different. My and my friends who were "little" were always being helped by the big guys.
I got out.... and my friends are getting bigger and still getting helped by the big guys. In fact, the big guys always seem to want to help the good little guys.

As soon as I saw the name, something rang bells and whistles. I do not know what it is.
As you can see, I was trying to get this thread going way back in 2002. Obviously I knew something back then. I just wish I remembered what it is.

It is 2008, After 6 years there are no Albino Surinams from the guy who once tried to claim to me that he had one. <-----pooof there is a little bit of it. I knew the memory would kick in sooner or later. too bad that is all I remember
 
I had been out of hobby for around 10 years. Today, I wrote Jeff Mohr & Manuel Diaz to review any possible shipping errors, as I have been unaware until I saw this thread. A lot of things can happen in life and if there is a mistake, and folks are reasonable, I will certainly make it right :)

I have PM'd these folks today to try and sort out any possible misunderstandings or mix ups. This includes Jeff Mohr and Manuel Diez. I am awaiting any response se as these claims are 10 years old and mistakes can happen.

Thanks! I'll give that a try right now. There's a lot of features on Fauna that I haven't even tried. I really need some help the paid advertising part at some point to. If you know who would be good to talk with on the phone about that, I have questions. Exploring the site with the advertising is a bit complex with features.
