    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I agree that we need to focus on the relevant issues. Now I think the next step is to get Dave Savickey here to give his version of this story. Secondly we need to find out who the supposed breeder of the snake is, that Savickey claims the het albino came from, even though he clearly refuses to give his customer any paperwork.

Does anyone know Mr. Savickey? If so please notify him of this thread and that he needs to address these issues and fix this situation concerning what appears to be a very bad sale on his part.
 
The breeder of the snake has nothing to do with this deal. Even if he remembers, or looks up records of selling the snake to this person, there is no guarantee that this is the same snake (unless of course, he has copies of the paperwork/picture). If the originator of the thread does not wish to identify the breeder, let it lie.
 
Hello Everyone-
Let me begin by saying thanks again for all the relevant posts... I really appreciate that you guys have taken an interest in my problem. I'll try to answer all the questions asked since my last post. First off David/Tawni, yes I did email Mr. Savickey a link to this post when I originally put it up. That was when he promptly replied with a nasty email and I told him to bring his thoughts here rather than directly to me. Remember too that prior to that I wasn't able to get a respose of any kind from him for over a week. I don't know if he's keeping up with the thread or not, but he's at least read the first two or three posts for sure. To be honest I expected that he would have replied by now. Joseph- You're absolutely right about his spelling and grammar, and that it should have been a clue to me. I remember thinking that exact thing the first time I contacted him, but went ahead with the deal anyway. This specific snake (a female tiger het albino) is something that I had been trying to find for quite a while and was having a hell of a time finding subadults. I think that the excitement of finally finding what I wanted might have clouded my first instinct judgement a little bit. As far as including the breeder's name in this thread, that's a bit tricky. I'll try to explain it as best as I can. I actually talked to one of the breeders involved today on the phone. This is the guy that most would know. The situation between him and the breeder that actually made the sale to Mr. Savickey was this: Originally the selling breeder was having a hard time getting his retics to breed so he and his partner sent them to the breeder that I talked to today as he has much more experience with them. He bred them the following year, along with some of his own retics. They then split up the babies accordingly and parted ways. The guy I talked to today however has no affiliation with Mr. Savickey, and did not make the sale to him. The only connection is that one of his snakes may or may not be one of the parents of the animal Mr. Savickey sold to me. The breeder that made the sale to Mr. Savickey is the one that I can't get a response from, and the one that supposedly could verify or deny the snake via photo ID according to Mr. Savickey. The reason that I don't want to include either of their names (especially the guy I talked to today as he has been as helpful as he possibly can be) is because that name will forever be included in a bad thread. I looked up a relatively well known breeder on this same forum a few months ago, and found a thread where one of his former employees did something distasteful. That employee put in the thread that he used to work for this breeder, and so the negative thread comes up when you type in that breeder's name. He however did nothing wrong and was understandably upset about being included. The last thing I want is for this thread to do the same, and come up when someone is checking in to this breeder that is trying to help me. David Savickey is the only one that I'm interested in making bad publicity for. I hope that makes sense. Also Greg I wanted to say thank you for your support and I too hope that you run in to Mr. Savickey somewhere along the line. Also to give everyone an update... there basically is no update. I haven't heard a word from Mr. Savickey nor have I seen any of his phantom het papers. I suppose that the only thing to change is that the snake ate a very large meal and had a good, complete shed last night. On a side note, if anyone wants to start a thread elsewhere to debate whether or not to buy from small time breeders I will happily contribute to it. But please don't use this thread to have that argument as it is basically irrelevant to whether or not David Savickey has done something wrong. Thanks you all again for posting.

James, Which site was the ad placed on? The emails should have been posted with the headers.
What is his email address or other contact information? What was the company name or screen name used in the ad?
 
Just wondering if there has been any resolution to this. Has Savicky done right by James or is he still avoiding this thread, this issue and avoiding doing what is right by Mr. McGhee? Has he sent the papers verifying the tiger to be het? If not that means the tiger is normal and he charged full market price for a het albino and that constitutes blatant fraud, misrepresentation of his product and theft of funds. Has he sent any money at all to cover the vet bills? In one email he even offered to pay half, which I fee is not enough but has he done even that much??

I'd sure like to see some resolution to this and for Mr. McGhee to receive a good deal and fair treatment.
 
I too want to see a resolution. Question that's been bugging me: do you have the pics that he sent you of what the tiger SHOULD have looked like? maybe he was stealing other people's photos?
 
Hi everyone-
Sorry I've been away for so long. There still is no update to give on Mr. Savickey, and I don't expect that he'll either contact me, or come here to defend himself. I haven't seen any sign of het papers (remember that he told me after seeing this post that he'd send them again if they somehow got mysteriously lost in the mail). I also have not heard anything from the selling breeder other than what I included in my last post. And most predictably... no effort on Mr. Savickey's part to take any action at all to fix this problem. There are a few tangential bits of good news though... After talking to the one breeder I was able to get ahold of, he informed me that if this snake did in fact come from where Mr. Savickey says (a big if) and is indeed an 04' (another big if) then it is very likely that she is a het albino because that was all they produced that year. So that is at least a little comforting. Als, her health has improved dramatically. There are no outward signs of RI, and her belly looks drastically better. She still has a few isolated patches of pinkness, but if things go the way they have been I expect that they'll be gone in her next shed. She is also eating weekly, and is a LOT more energetic than when I first got her.
To answer the earlier questions, the classified ad was posted on KS originally. The reason I left the headers out of the emails between Mr. Savickey and I and why I haven't included his email address is because I wasn't sure if that was in bad taste on this forum... is it? If not, I will gladly post both, and I still have the comlete record of all of our email correspondence. Thanks again to everyone that has show interest in my problem.
 
One other quick answer to your questions Dennis- Mr. Savickey didn't use a business name in the original ad. I don't have a copy of it, and it's now expired, but if memory serves it was just under "David." Thanks again.

I forgot that someone asked for this pic earlier. This is the pic he sent me of the tiger originally. It doesn't really show in detail any of the ailments, but it does appear to be the same snake.

As a resident of the state... I'm also curious about Mr. Savickey's legal ability to posess and sell retics from a Massachusetts address. They require a permit to own or keep in the state and turning them over as a dealer isn't considered a legitimate reason for the application process.
 
She had made basically a full recovery, as it's been well over a year now since all this happened. As far as her being het albino that's still a big maybe. Savickey finally did send me some paperwork about six months after the fact that was a very generic quickbooks invoice. I finally was able to make contact with the original breeder and he recalled selling some retics to Dave in the appropriate time frame but said that to the best of his knowledge he never gave quickbooks invoices as het papers. So the ones I got from Dave are in all likelihood a forgery. Hopefully I'll find out for sure this season whether she's het albino or not.

How about you go to your own thread and answer some questions that have been put forth.

You complain about this guy avoiding this thread. But on your own thread you avoid the questions.

You want savickey to post papers proving his animal is a het.

How about you go back to your own thread and post papers showing yo really are David and that your fake business really is a corporation and not a figment of your imagination.

When someone refuses to come to a thread or refuses to answer a question.... that pretty much tells you what the true answer is.
