In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

FaunaClassifieds Flyer.....

Ok, I've got one more space for content...And I'm no copywriter so I need some suggestions!

I would go with Rich's idea about numbers, but make them general. Something like

"Hundreds of forums...Thousands upon thousands of registered members"

Numbers are always good. You can even divide those 2 statements up onto the 2 "blank" sections if you want, but keeping them together doesn't hurt either. And this way, unless he goes to thousands of forums, it is something that can be used for a long time without needing to change it...

When Rich approves a final copy, make sure to send me a high res copy please. I need to print out a bunch for the show!

How about this?

Rich, is this what you're looking for?

Looking pretty good! But I think some minor tweaks may be needed.

How about trying the text in black instead of green? I think that may catch the eye better. I think some more contrast is needed so the flier will catch someone's eye if it is laying on a table somewhere.

And I don't know about that text box about "What is the Board of Inquiry?" It's probably too wordy for a flier. People generally only give these things a quick glance, so the idea is to catch their eye and perhaps trigger some curiosity and interest so they will come visit the site. So something short and sweet to pique their interest? Oh yeah, the box border should probably match the color of the font for Board of Inquiry as well (see below....), to tie them together visually.

I think since Board of Inquiry is now a registered trademark, it should show the symbol for it, and perhaps read "Featuring the Board of Inquiry". Saying "original" implies that non original Board of Inquiries may exist and be legally acceptable.

Under "Thousands of members" and "Dozens of forums" I think something like "Thousands of classified ads" might help balance out that area.

Does that give you some things to wrestle with? Oh did I mention that I can be REAL particular about this kind of stuff?

Thank you.......

I agree with most of your thoughts Rich, but I think the dark green lettering looks better than black would.

But it ain't my flyer. ;)

Ok, here's the revision. If anything needs swapped back to the last one, no biggie as I have copies of it. :)

On the "What is the Board of Inquiry" section, I'm really going to need to be told what it is you want written there. I'm no copywriter in the least. :)

Now that copy looks awesome. It's classy and direct. Will there be a static copy on the forum that we can print from? Also has a link been considered for those that want to place a link on their sites (the link would lead back to this page)?

ummm, does anyone see the "Gerber" baby's face on that Spider's head?

O, jeeze...He isn't named yet...Should I call him Gerber?

I'm a bit confused...This is meant for print, not web...
I'll be posting a zip file once Rich has given his final ok for others to use with two different sizes in professional print version and home print version.

When i read the flyer, to me... it sounds funny saying Thousands, Dozens, Thousands. Maybe Dozens, Thousands, Thousands? Unless rich already said otherwise?

Visually, the way it's setup works while putting the smaller statement (dozens) either at the top or the bottom will cause an imbalance. The only way I could do that is if I figured out a different way completely to set up those three lines.

There is definitely a Gerber baby pic outlined on his skull!

I understand that it's for printed flyers, but it could also be a PDF file? Everyone doesn't go to shows?

Do you mind me playing with it for a second? just to nab a screen shot? ( you dont have to let me, as it is YOUR flyer! and you dont have to take my ideas too! :D ) just thinkin!

PDF files is what would be supplied in the ZIP. Rich will be the only one given the actual art (PSD) file for his future use.

Feel free (you should be able to just save the JPG off of my post), but e-mail me what you do instead of posting it here.

I know that this is Rich's flier, but should the "Board of Inquiry" be in red as it is on this site?

Sure, if the theme is Christmas. ;)
If Rich wants it swapped to red, I can do that.

(sorry to mess with you flier Steph)

I actually meant to state that in my earlier post, but it was late.....

I did, at least, SHOW the "Board of Inquiry" in red, I just didn't say anything about the color change. I made a reference of making the text box color the same as that of the Board of Inquiry text, and in my mind, I knew what I meant by it......

In any event, I like the black text effect. Let's try the FaunaClassifieds at the top and the www.FaunaClassifieds.com at the bottom in black as well.

Yeah, something about that "dozens of forums" seems to fall flat to me as well, but I'm having trouble coming up with an alternative.

BTW, everyone's input here is welcome to me in order to get this rolling. I really appreciate everyone's efforts, especially Ms. Stephanie Kunder for jumping in and just DOING it. I just never have the time (nor ability!) for this artistic sort of endeavor....
