In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Jim Stelpflug of Southwest Wisconsin Reptiles is a great guy!!!

It never ends with AJ

Just so everyone knows it. I did not ship the snake to him. He picked it up at a show. I would have not been offended if he sexed right there. His mother purchased a spider male and pastel female as a Christmas present for him. Later at a monthly show I do in Chicago. I asked his mother how the snakes were doing. She said good, but that her now did not want make a bumblebee. I thought to myself it is kind of sad that someone would not be appreciative of a gift like that. After a couple of months I saw them again. They said that the female pastel would only eat live. They seemed unhappy with the animal. I told them to bring it back to the next show. I would see what I could do. Well Anthony just did not want this snake. So he picked out a het albino female. Now this was in 2006 not 2007. I may have mis-sexed this snake. Anyone can make that mistake, but keep in mind that we produce better then 2500 animals a year. In twenty years this is the FIRST ever post of this happening. I feel that I have done all I could do to make this young man happy, but I wish he would have contacted me about the mis-sexed animal. I have a answering machine on my home phone. My cell phone number is out there in my ads. I also check my email multiple times daily for the most part. I do twenty plus reptile shows a year. I am sorry Anthony could not find me. I am also sorry that he finds the need to call some of my past customers jackasses. I think most people here now see what we are dealig with. I still wonder why he would sign in under someone else`s name on the first post. I would think that would break some kind of rules here?

Sorry Jim Stelpflug

I bought a female het albino ball python from Jim about two years ago. Then I traded it for a pair of timor monitors. Next thing I know I have the guy at the other end of the trade yelling at me because what I traded him was a MALE. So I had to return the timor monitors. Upset me very much.

You had the snake for 2 years and never felt it necessary to sex it, yet you sex your own snakes 3 times just to be sure. What's it take a few minutes to haul it out and sex it before you sent it to someone else. "Just as a precaution". Then you have the nerve to cry about it 2 years later on a public forum. :nopity:

No, the female pastel was a mouse eater. Which I don't like considering all of my snakes eat rats.

I've emailed you before regarding different things and never got a reply.

And like I said, my buddy is here for the Tinley Park show. He was on this computer earlier, so I guess he signed in and I did not look to see because I am used to keeping myself signed in 24/7. So I did not know I was posting under his name.

Every other snake I had/have from Jim was correctly sexed until this one. I trusted him to correctly sex it. If I get a snake off Bob Clark I'm not going to sex it is I bought what he says it is.

Yes, they are my snakes. I want to make sure if I am going to sell someone a snake I produced, they will be happy with it. That it is correctly sexed so I will not run into a problem with them in the future.

Apparently trusting Jim to correctly sex a snake was a mistake. Again, I will never trust another man/woman sexing snakes. I will assume that no one else in the world can sex correctly and I am the only one I can.

Haha. Yea, I'm crying about it.

As for how I 'could not find you', I'm not driving an hour out of my way to go to that crappy Lake County show when Ron picks me up to help him out at the DuPage County show.

Ever snake I got off Ron was correctly sexed, I know that must kill you being that you can't talk enough trash about him when you're conversating with my mother.

And one more thing, I've only been to the Lake Count show ONCE. And that was when we made the exchange for the female pastel and "female" het albino.

So now the Lake County Reptile show that is held the second Saturday of ever month is crappy? And you have been there only one time to see this first hand. How could even go here and make a comment like this. There are a lot of vendors that do that show, that you now have put a knife in there back.
Most of the vendors that do the Lake county, and the Dupage show are the same people. In my opinion the only difference is the Lake County is a reptile only show. Dupage is a All animal show with dogs, cats, birds, and other animals. Along with some reptiles. I do know that Dupage gets more people to attend, but they have dogs and cats. Everyone one likes to see a puppy and kitten.

If you choose not to check the sex of your snakes when you got it then it's as much your mistake as it is his. Mistakes happen even with the guys who have been doing this for years - you learned that the hard way but it looks like you learned it.

That you didn't double check the sex of the snake before sending it off to someone else is fully your responsibility.

I just don't understand why this is turning into such a big deal. It's pretty simple, Jim should have been given the chance to make this right before a negative post was put on the BOI. The title of Jims last post, "It never ends with Aj," is begining to become apparent.

I agree with Travis

Jim I wouldn't waste any more of my energy on this if I were you. Deep breaths and ohhhm. :D Its not worth the rise in blood pressure. Your rep has taken no hit. Maybe you made a mistake but you should have been given the chance to make it good before it came here. There is no doubt in my mind that you would have. Take care and better things!

My favorite cornsnake in my collection is the Butter Motley I got from Jim at the Iowa show a few years ago. My only complaint is that his table at the Iowa show this year was way to busy. I was hoping to steal a few minutes to chit chat but he was so busy I didn't want to both him.
If anyone is just now tuning in and wants to skip the last 9 or 10 pages I'll sum it up for you. Jim rocks. His only down fall is that he's only 99.9% accurate at sexing snakes because he's not a robot.

I give Jim a

Know what, hell I might as well go all out.

Jim, remember that female I loaned you to breed to a mojave? Last I heard you got eggs from her. But I never heard from you after that...

And you knew how to get in contact with us. You had my mothers phone number and could have called her anytime to deliver us news about what came out of the eggs.

If I get a snake off Bob Clark I'm not going to sex it is I bought what he says it is.

You may want to reconsider that. I bought a Madagascan Ground Boa from Bob at a show as a female. It wasn't. My husband and I sexed it at our table and I took it back to Bob 5 minutes later for a refund. This is not meant to be anything negative about Bob but it is more to the point that anyone can make a sexing mistake, even Bob Clark. Hell, I've missexed young leopard geckos before! It happens.

I wasn't going to mention this because all I have is info from word of mouth,
And you shouldn't have. You crossed the line here. Back it up or don't bother wasting your time posting anonymous third party information.
