In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Litter #3 on the way

you mean I'm going to have to wait until Monday to find out what happened... come on Serentiy, you can do it! :D

She's probably just shy and wants some privacy.

I was over at a buddy's house and his boa started to drop but as soon as we got all faces pressed up against the tank to watch she stopped and didn't finish until we left the room and it was nice and quite (and dark).

Good luck with her, can't wait to see what you get!

I said by the time I get home. Don't make me have to come out there and give her a good squeezing.

Ain't the anticipation great though. LOL Wait till you get one that decides to hold out longer, like MJ going 136 days POS. You want to talk nerve wracking.

You think it could have been the pre-birth waxy turd thing? If so, I've heard they can go a couple days after they drop it. Glad mine didn't though. LOL

After talking with Dave Barker, he reassured us that she is not due yet and we need to give her a hide box, some substrate other than news paper and leave her alone LOL He went as far as telling us to not open her tub until we see the sides steamy. Being that she is columbian and only at 95 days gestation, what we likely saw was her trying to save her litter, not deliver it prematurely.

So yes the wait continues, but I feel a lot better with Bryon talking to Dave.

That's pretty interesting. Never heard of that before. Makes me want to talk to people and find out what they know about that sort of stuff.

Hopefully she'll go for a bit longer, and things will be all good.

Much better than she holds onto them longer, don't want her to go at 95 days. Was she fed anything in the last 4-6 weeks?

My boas give birth fine on newspaper. I do shred a bunch during the last 2-3 weeks and add that to the cage as a nesting material. I never provide a hide box for gravid females as they will usually give birth in the box and I've heard of babies being squished before (not always of course, but I've heard of it 3 times).

Good luck!

She hasn't been fed for a couple weeks. She has the body size to easily take a 200 - 250 gram rat but I've been feeding 50 gram rats every 3 weeks and stop at 90 days gestation.

I likely won't use a hide box but instead cut some boxes down to offer ger a little more security. Dave suggested giving her something to hide under since we've been in her tub so much the last 2 days.

If I understood what Dave said, instead of birthing fluid it could've been her urinating and the plug slipping enough to allow a little birthing fluid in the urine stream. He had ideas of half a dozen things it could've been but was pretty confident it wasn't anything to stress over.

I feel a bit better now.
