No, not precisely. My intention is to apply gradual pressure to try to make this forum a bit more on the professional level and ease up on the personally derogatory type statements that tend to just muddy the waters here. "Subhuman filth", is pretty much representative of what I am talking about. That sort of crap IS going to cease here.

This gradual pressure will be in the form of infraction points that will be cumulative until the persons engaging in such activity take the hint and reduce this sort of "trash talk", or get eased out the door.

I can't say I necessarily agree completely though, impartiality is something even the american justice system stops applying once proven guilty which Wendy most certainly has been. She and her mother ran a scam where they committed fraud, they've stolen animals and money from people. They have rubbed elbows with other thieves on a regular basis and they haven't stopped. Even if one wants to ignore all of the unsavory personal habits that are reprehensible (like the neo-nazi crap), she's a bad person. There's no doubt whatsoever that she's a terrible excuse for a human being.

I understand that you want to clean things up and make them more... professional. But a thief is a thief. A scumbag is a scumbag. Wendy might be a bipedal organism that walks upright and inhales oxygen, but there is no way in hell she's a member of the same species I am- or you are- or any other decent person is. She's something else entirely and something far far less.

I'd ask at what point the impartiality starts to actually hurt more than it helps. I'm not going to cry or whine about receiving a correction- again, your board your rules, I can follow them or leave... but with someone like Wendy, how many people are going to point out that she's a liar, a thief and a criminal and require similar... redirection? Is she worth the good people who will stand up and point their finger at her for the good of everyone who might not know any better and say "Terrible, absolutely horrible person. Wendy is garbage who nobody should associate with." At some point, the cost of protecting the feelings of something like Wendy is just too high. I'm urging you not to alienate members who are actually worth something over policy chances that force them to be polite to criminals, thieves and scumbags.

I am not interested in protecting anyone's feelings here. Matter fact, I can't think of a single person I would have any incentive to do that for.

What I want is a BOI and site in general that I can be proud of having my name on the door of. I believe that most people's negative impressions of this forum stem from the appearance of uncontrolled mud slinging and outright personal attacks from people who have no DIRECT involvement with the issues at hand. I cannot disagree with this. It does get FAR out of hand rather often.

Although I do not intend to stand in the way of non involved members of this site posting their own personal opinions, even though not directly involved, it is my suggestion that EVERYONE will be better served if the overall quality of such posts increase substantially, and the credibility of the attempted overall goal of the BOI, in general, move into a more professional and fact oriented level.

I am asking for everyone's help in this regard. You can start HERE and now, please.

This is of course not the rule for live critters, where returns are more complex. You cannot simply return a critter because you changed your mind, for one thing, it is hard on the critter, for another thing, unless there is a defect or some other kind of glitch the sale is completed by delivery.

I don't know either of these people, but I have to agree with Laura and Seamus in the sense that both of these women are in error. Wendy, if you knew that pure Rankins are extremely rare in the US, then you should have checked into this sale further. To buy these dragons, then cry fowl seems suspect unless you thought you were getting pure rankins for an incredible price. Heidi, if you are going to be selling a particular type of animal, then you really should be absolutely sure before you make claims about its lineage. You should refund her the cost of the dragons, and sell them as rankins with an unknown bloodline. That way both of you get something back, but both of you also pay for your mistakes.

I do have a question and maybe Char can answer this. How much do pure blood line Rankins go for? How much do potentially hybrid Rankins go for? Is $400 high for potentially hybridized Rankins?

Yeah, I don't think it is true either. Once both sides fulfill their contract to buy/sell and the item is delivered, unless there is a defect or unless there is an agreement about returns (like a TOS) you can't just send stuff back.

TOS is the driver in any such situation. Even without a clear cut TOS, the complaint would have to be material, not "for any reason"

Never any issues with the geckos/animals I have produced or sold.The health, quality, and care I give to the geckos I raise is far better than the care I give myself. I would personally challenge anyone to say otherwise about any gecko I have produced, have, or have had.The 2 other threads where my name was brought up while discussing Jeane certainly dont count. I wasnt involved.

I have not ever personally owned, breed, or sold Dragons or Rankins . I have aquired one rankin and one drankin that I sold at the store. The rankin for $125, and the Drankin for $50.

Heidid agreed to a refund, I never refused that agreement, The animals were returned and a rufund is in order.
