    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am new to these forums so please be patient with me ...I purchased a baby sunglow from ZACH ASHWOOD .. he sent me pictures of a healthy baby that was suposedly a product of pete kahls owne litters so I was enticed by the strong lineage the snake would have .. he stated that the snake was wrinkly becouse it was going to shed !! When I received the snake I was so wrinkled it was scarey .. I contacted Zach and he told me dont worrie thats a normal thing "just let him settle in he has just been shipped and needs to aclimate and he will shed no problem " after countless emails and phone calls and doing everything Zach told me to do to help the snake .. the snake keeps looking worse and worse .. I finaly contacted Zach and told him i was yery unhappy and that he misrepresented the snake in his add .. he told me " well its to late you should have sent him back the first day " I replied I contacted you and you assured me it would be fine and I should let the snake "settle in " so to make a long story short he wont take the snake back couse I didnt demand a refund Instantly !! and why didnt I ?? becouse I truted his word as a man and that he would do the rite thing !!! If anybody can help me out with some advice or input I'd apreciate it very much !! and remember DONT BUY FROM ZACH ASHWOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michael flemal ( Doomtrooper)

I am being completely fair and you telling me I'm not does not bother me. That's fine that you're going to talk to the credit card company if that's what you feel you need to do. But I'm not refunding you any money. I sold you a healthy, eating snake. He was 100% outwardly healthy and like I said if I thought for any reason he was sick I never would have shipped him. But he didn't have any issues besides being wrinkled from needing to shed. That's all a person can do. Back to the snake though, you told me you twice tried to feed the snake which I actually suggested you not do that, and if you thought there was a health issue I don't know why you would be handling the snake. That's just extra stress you've caused which can delay shedding even more. The sell some stuff at petstores called shed-ease. I would maybe look into that. I've never used it because I've never had to but I've heard lots of good things about it. But the name calling and cursing at me did not help at all, you told me I was not being a "man". To me cursing and name calling is childish and not being a "man". Do your thing and I'll do mine. Keep an eye on the boa and think about that shed-ease, and stop trying to feed him.

i'm confused. you said that he said the snake was wrinkled, but when you received it... you were so wrinkled that it was scary. i think you should take a picture and post it up.
 
Purchase dates, His email addie, ...your first email and the email where he stated it was just slightly wrinkled.
 
I figured this would find it's way here. Here are the details guys. He bought this sunglow from me, it was paid for on Saturday the 7th of November. I shipped the following Monday on the 9th of November and he received on Tuesday the 10th. I previously told him that the boa was going to show up a little wrinkly because he was going into shed. So we talked for the past week through emails and a few phone calls. He called me today and asked me to call him back so I did. He almost immediately erupted at me cursing and calling me childish names. He's convinced I sold him a sick snake. That snake IS NOT SICK. He ate for me Wednesday the 4th of November and was shipped 5 days later. He had plenty of time and did not regurge his food or anything like that. He was healthy and strong when he left my house. I knew he needed to shed...and I told Mike that, and now he swears up and down that I screwed him and sold him a sick snake. He wants to send the snake back and he wants his money back. First off I know the boa was healthy when he left my place. I told him that if he was that worried or whatever that he should have told me that day he wanted a refund...not wait almost a week. I'm selling my boas not trying to buy them back. He told me that I should have offerred to buy him back and have him shipped back to me. That's absolutely absurd. I'm not a bad guy I've had some great deals and no bad ones. It's a shame you had to come in here and start this Mike because I've done nothing wrong and you have a healthy snake at your place that needs to shed. That's the just of it guys. But I'm telling you Mike sometimes it takes more that 6 days for a boa to shed. I understand you're worried but you have a perfectly healthy boa and you don't even know it.
 
Oh and as far as the boa being "so wrinkly it's scary" That's a joke. He was wrinkled no doubt and I told him in two emails that he was going to be wrinkly. He's playing that up so you guys will think I sold him a bag of skin which is far from true. It's crazy that he was so fast to jump on me and tell people not to buy from me when he's had the snake for 6 days and hasn't given him a chance to relax and shed. Oh not to mention the boa was sitting on the porch for almost an hour before he realized it and actually pick him up. It sounds to me like you really don't know what you're doing Mike. All you're trying to do is talk trash about me. You're boa is going to shed and you're going to have to come on here and apologize and tell everyone that you made a mistake. I'll be waiting.
 
Well..in my opinion..if a customer calls you and tells you they don't like the way the snake looks...and you say "You should have asked me to refund it then" instead of just trusting you. I'd like to see pics of this snakes..because..if it's super wrinkly and isn't shedding..can be a sign of major dehydration. I mean I don't know..I haven't seen this snake..so as others I"m waiting on pics. I think him asking you for a refund is fair IMO, and if I'm not mistaken he even offered to pay the shipping costs of shipping it back to you.
 
He never offerred anything to me. And as far as asking for a refund...if you are unsatisfied with what you have bought, you don't wait a week to ask for a refund. He's never shipped a snake before either so all the more reason I wouldn't want him to ship back. The boa has been out of my hands for very nearly a week. That means I don't know how the boa has actually been cared for for the last week. I can't take an animal back after a week. Most people wouldn't. I understand that he's worried but he immediately starting bashing me the second he got a chance. I'm telling you when he sheds he'll be happy and he'll be apologizing to everyone. I'm a very reasonable person but I'm also realistic. I'm not taking a boa back after a week. That's ignorant business. Like I tried to tell Mike. When he left my house he had eaten 5 days before (Rat Fuzzy) he was wrinkled on his neck and tail but nothing even close to what I've seen before (in boas that shed and then looked perfectly normal). None of my boas are sick in any way, I have two boas that currently eat the same food and they are very healthy, I changed the water every 2 days whether the boas have been in it, drank it, or whatever it gets changed and they ALWAYS have water. My boas are healthy and so was the one I sent, so tell me why I owe it to him to take the snake back after a week. Even as we speak I'm trying to help him and show him that the snake is fine but he won't listen.

He had complained to me on the phone that he was not eating too, even after I told him NOT to try and feed him, he tried to feed him not once but twice in the past weekend alone. It's quite obvious he isn't taking my advise so I don't even know if he's really been spraying him and soaking him like he said he was. I tried very hard when we talked on the phone to be calm and literately within 1 minute of the phone call he starting cursing at me and chose to call me several names. During which I never used one curse word, or called him one name. That should show you at least a little bit of what kind of person Mike is.
 
well he called you when he got the snake and COMPLAINED then...it wasn't like he waited a week and complained. He took your word for a week that this snake would be ok. I bought some baby boas well more like traded for baby boas..and they ate within 3 days of being here. Boas are not like balls...are typically really good feeders. It should have been eating within being there a week. I could see you not refunding if he complained about it a WEEK LATER but he complained the SAME Day he got the snake. SO how does that make it a week later he complains? What else was he suppose to do? I would have trusted you in the same way he did...unless the snake just looked awful. But it's hard to take a for sure side..when I haven't seen pics. As hopefully he will post some.
 
I agree pics are needed, this is a case where he was talking with you within 1 day of arrival. Personally I would not have shipped a "wrinkly" in shed snake. hold it back. Also I don't know many healthy boas that look real wrinkly when in shed. Yeah alittle loose skin but not wrinkly. Dehydration or poor health would lead me to think why the snake was way "wrinkly". It's your biz and all, but the way to do it right is to have good customer service and healthy snakes. I would never ship a snake in shed, underfed or looked unhealthy and I would have worked something out with the buyer. How many feeds did this snake have in it? have many sheds? how old before sent?

I'd have to say that looks like dehydration and not shed. I've never had one of my boas suddenly have they're skin become that loose just because they were going to shed, if anything they plump up more and I start seeing loose pockets of the shed about to come off separate from the skin itself.
 
ok one more time the nie fat healthy snake is what I was told I would get and the skinny Mummy looking one is what I got yes maybee it will shed and be ok but the fact is I complained day 1 and zach told me to just give him a chance to shed and he would be fine and after a week of taking his advice he told me well im not going to take him back couse you didnt demand a refund day 1 he punked me told me to trust him that he would do the rite thing and didnt back his word when i finaly got tired of trying to nurse a sick snake back to health he is a punk kid who has no sence of what the rite thing is

WOW that poor little snake. I am not sure it is the same snake, trying to identify cross bands and just don't have enough pic info, however that is one dehydrated snake with lots of body weight loss.. OMG i would be embarrassed to even ship this snake. Maybe it's just me......

Soak that guy every night for 1/2 hour or so and make sure cage temp and humidity is correct.
 
If we could see another picture or two of the snake stretched out, it may be possible to try to compare the bands and be sure it's the same snake. Couldn't hurt to try.
 
heres a few more pics I took the patterns look similar its even hard for me to tel since the saddles arent on top of the snake any more .. If anybody can help me get this snake back into good health I would apreciate it id hate for him to not make it .. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company maybee that will get Zach to take the animal back and refund my money ( DOO THE RITE THING ZACH !!!)
