In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Or I should have had my laptop out front reading the BOI and making outlandish comments like half of you people do without evidence.

Point is I am not over it but I can't continue to moan and groan about it on here and I have a life that must go on. What Karma has struck? What is your point like seriously, more bickering has gone on here amongst yourselves than myself and Lou. GET OVER IT ALREADY.

Let me know next time you are waiting on the porch from 9am to 4pm because thats a huge window to be waiting. Not all packages come at 10:30 I probably only had two packages come at this time and others at 2pm,3pm or 4pm sorry im not sitting on the porch all day. That has notyhing to do with the snake dying.

In your first post you said something about a history of UPS not making delivery attempts.

In my experience, there can be regional excellence and deficits as well in the delivery business. If in your area you know UPS is questionable, you could have and perhaps should have used another delivery service.

I think you cannot point the 'finger of fault' at anyone else when you agreed to a service you knew ahead of time might be second rate in your area.

Guys if the OP is going to let his pride get the better of him and refuse to take any responsibility for his substantial role in this then I think he is right. Why should we care. He has been offered compensation and declined.

Too much time wasted on a far too obvious situation.

Good luck to all concerned.

Yea i said it happened once before and the shipper used shipyourreptiles.com which uses UPS.

Has nothing to do with pride I already reached out to Dean like he had asked so that Lou and I can come to a result all you huys are doing is bickering amongst yourselves and making me out to be someone i'm not. I'm not going to just sit here and watch people write garbage sorry.

So like I said we will handle it another way because this thread has gone no where so lets leave it alone now

YOU initiated a thread in a public forum. When people express their opinions and it is not what you want to hear, it is not garbage. Honestly, you are beginning to sound like you have come fresh from the Dan Scolaro School.

When you bring something here, there is a LOT of experience beind many of those reading and posting. If there is a common thread running through many of the answers, it might just be that those posting have something important to say. Listen. You might learn something of value.

One thing you said about the refrigerator....struck me...because it can have another simile. Let's switch the story around a bit... and then ask yourself..."How is it fair to buy a brand new ref, BREAK IT and then insist that the manufacturer give you a new one or better one when you didn't follow directions, and not following those directions voided your warranty (and you knew better)?" :shrug01:

Just another perspective.

BTW: I find it amusing that most of the time when an OP starts a bush fire to burn someone, as long as the flames are going in the desired direction...they are right there putting fuel on the flames. BUT...the moment the fire turns and starts singeing their own toes..they want the flames out.:reddevil:

Good Evening,
Lou is one of the best guys in the business. He is not only reputable but also very fair. I have bought over 20 ball pythons from Lou without a single problem. He has shipped me half of those snakes when I lived out of state and I never had an issue. You missed the 1st delivery attempt. That is not Lou's fault? It is either yours or UPS. I would buy animals from Lou before any other breeder with my positive experiences. I hate to see a good guy get bashed when it is not his fault.
Thanks,

Well thank you for your input, Mr. One Post Larry. Be sure to take that into consideration...but probably not.

How about if the afternoon heat spikes to 85 or 90 like he said and it was in a box on a truck with A heat pack. at 9:07 am in New Jersey on thursday it was 69 degrees. he did not get the package till 2:47 Est over five hours later according to my UPS emails.

Wow. Still dead though. After only four hours, and only "one" heat pack. Scroll down for where you get caught in a lie.

Here is my advise to all of you when buying, and I have had a customer do this. Video tape you recieving the package, and every step along the way. Video tape opening the box, unpacking the box, opening the snake bag, or deli cup. Video tape all of the packing. Video the condition of the box. Basically what I am saying is, video as much as you can, if this type of thing happens, you will have more proof that will help your case as a buyer.

Just recently started doing this myself. Great advice.

And now, the ULTIMATE damnation, that Deborah's superhuman tunnel vision failed to pick up...Sure, she may have noticed the buyer saying "a heat pack" in a frustrated email to the seller on the 8th here...

Well look I have spoken to many python breeders about the matter without name dropping, Heat packs peak at 115 degrees not 80 like you had said, now you are gonna tell me the spider is sold that just shows that you really don't care about your costumers. You got your $350. You have people posting on both sides. You blamed me anyway because you think i wasnt home sorry I was im not gonna take that bullshit. Keep your snakes I don't give a shit dude. You killed the snake with a heat pack in 80-90 degree weather

BUT where is this super tunnel vision of fact finding doom when the email from the SELLER to the BUYER is shown...here....

The spider is now sold.

JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT ;)

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. I think he just caught himself in a lie. Yuck, that truth be ugly.

Pay that man his money Lou. Snakes don't die in 4 hours unless theyre blanketed by 3 heat packs.

U can haz fail tew.

No tunnel vision needed, that's just general chit chat about heat packs, non damning evidence of anything. We've all said "heat packs" when speaking of them. :shrug01:

Really? You sent someone an email in regards to shipping, and you were like "How did the heat packs hold up, were they still warm when the package arrived?"

Cause Im pretty sure Ive always said "Was the heat pack still warm?" whenever I placed a call when I got the delivery confirmation email.

Maybe Im just weird though.

Or maybe there's a load of crap that you dont want to catch a whiff of.

 Thank you Shadera

HEY SHERLOCK NOT! I had seen that statement..but didn't add that to the facts because that ONE statement didn't add much to the evidence.

Sherlock Not you seem to miss in all this evidence, that ONE heat pack in that heat in the back of a truck could have killed the snake.:ack2: We will never know because Eddie missed the pick up. Regardless of whether or not the delivery man knocked, came to the door or did a jiggaboo on the back porch, Eddie KNEW of the hit/miss type of delivery tendency by his own admission. AND..to make matters worse, Sherlock Not missed all the other evidence from breeders that have been packing longer than him saying that it is possible.:ack2:

Since I have admitted to having tunnel vision (comes from raising 3 boys that had a tendency to LIE and emboider a story when they got in trouble. I couldn't afford to lose track of the facts) I am STILL wondering and a lot of us may be wondering how during all this...and the picture shows TWO shipping boxes in the picture...did he miss it if there were actually 3 packs in the box?:shrug01: Ahhh, the sweet mysteries of life.:yesnod:

Not going to say it..not going to say it.....(bites tongue) :reddevil:

Reread it. In the original thread. They, and we on the forum, were having a discussion about at what temp 40 hour heat packs (or do you want me to say "pack") peak. At one point that was Eddie's argument, that Lou had lied about how hot they got and when. When chatting with someone about heat packs, do you say heat packs, or heat pack? Since you're probably like most of us and use the plural form, does this mean you ship with multiple packs too?

The three heat packs accusation didn't come in until well after that. Someone's been watching too much Judge Judy.

And I see nowhere where Lou asked if the heat packs held up okay during shipping. :shrug01: Just talk of Eddie talking about heat packs on the forum.

Seemed to have some effect on you for you to call it out in the buyer's emails.

Mhmm. So maybe the seller should have not used a heat pack, or perhaps checked the temperatures in the destination a bit more. No?

Betcha all those other breeders know what the temperatures are before they start sticking heat packs or cold packs in the box. I know my recent purchases sure as shiz did, they called and emailed telling me about cold fronts that I didnt know were coming. Imagine that. Responsible sellers....taking responsibility...for their shipments?

One was taped under the packing material, one was on the side. He said that already. Do you really burrow through your boxes in search of easter eggs, or do you pull the snake bag out and tend to the animal?
I know I only take off the top, and dont worry about the rest of the box. Guess Im just weird.

OH and honestly...you wouldn't at least give him a 50% refund to shut him up and let this go?

.....

Im not talking about the stupid original thread. Im talking about this screenshot of Lou's email to Eddie talking about the heat packs peaking.

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showpost.php?p=916235&postcount=195

When chattin with someone about heat packs in general, yes Ill say heat packs. When Im talking to someone about a shipment, I refer to the heat pack that I included in the package.

Like, "Hey I got your package ready to go. Im going to double insulate the box and throw in a heat pack for good measure."

orrr

"Ill activate the heat pack at 5 so it'll be ready to go when I box everything up at 6 to drive over to the hub."

You guys just dont want to see that maybe Lou slipped up. The damn heat packs are taped in the same exact manner, except one is on top and one is on the bottom. Somebody is lying, and that's the only truth left to this whole ordeal.

Ignoring all the rest of that because you came in too late and it's already been hashed and rehashed..

Sure, I said that in the very beginning of this mess that I would have given him his money back and put him on my "Do Not Sell To" list.

I would have given him his money back the first time he called.:yesnod: But remember, the seller did offer him compensation, and Eddie wanted to drag his feet (time is money...animals need to be moved). Then apparently the male ego took over and they started butting heads. :shrug01:

I hate to have my animals die, I hate MORE to have my animals die during a delivery where the buyer wasted a lot of time picking up the animal and getting back to me.

I stopped reading at page 20 when you called out the buyer but didnt call out the seller. Everything else is the usual BOI crap.

Time is money? The offer should have been choose a refund, or take something else but cover shipping.

4 hours is not a lot of time if an animal is packed properly. But that's been rehashed as well.

Funny how a 4 hour delay to a missed shipment for whatever reason is a bigger deal than a 4 hour delay due to problems during delivery.

Would Lou still refuse a refund or rescind his offer if the animal arrived dead at 2:02 pm because UPS jacked something up?

I wonderz.

I dont even care anymore really. How others fail their customers is up to them, and when they ignore all the useful suggestions telling them to bite the bullet and send a refund for reputation's sake, well then there's nothing left for the BOI jury to do.

Just wanted to make sure you were giving Eddie a fair shake over the pack & packs stuff.
