    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have had dealings with paypal and have found that they can be reasonable, but starting with the fraud dep't and working back to the customer service dep't would be my advice.

You do also need to respond in writing the way they requested, but make the call first.

All that sent funds can call too. Even if it is past time to open a complaint Paypal still keeps a records of such complaints. Everyone can still make a fraud complaint with their credit cards and banks tied to their paypal accounts but Paypal may suspend your account for doing so. It has happened before. They don't like you going over their heads and doing chargebacks. If enough people dispute against the Wise's accounts maybe they will listen.

Maggie, I am so sorry, this will all be resolved. Deep breath. It will get figured out. They can't possibly get this money back. There is way to much evidence that it was to go to you. Just need a PayPal person to sit down and go through all of it!

I think paypal can take actions with the checking account linked to your paypal, I'm not sure how or when that works, but perhaps a checking account withdrawal is in order until this is straightened out. Most people can transfer funds from checking into savings at home via computer.

Don't bug out.

Call paypal. Dave is a good man but paypal is not going to talk to other people about your account.

You are strong Maggie. You can deal. We are here helping you.

woooow, i cant believe this.. I have to say I didnt even expect this out of them... All the money we just sent maggie might not even get to her if the account is frozen.. If paypal gives the wises the money we just sent to repay them for whatever they are claiming, all of us who just donated might technically be able to file a complaints at our local PD.. Im in michigan and might have a lot better luck getting something done to them since they are within a half hour of me... All i can say right now is woooow maggie you must be so upset right now..
 
As a member on another forum has pointed out, as angry as we are about this, we need to use TACT when dealing with other forums and the off-line world!!

Society as a whole tends to view herpers as maniacs and weirdos.

Everyone who sent money to the Wises via PayPal needs to do the same thing she just pulled on Maggie. Or at least try. Raise a dispute. Tell them what she's pulling. I sent no moneys, I sent animals, but some of you sent a nice sum, that may help you out with PayPal. Maybe it will raise enough brows to stop the dispute she has with Maggie.
 
Said I'd post those screen shots, but I see someone already has. I have them though just in case. Has anyone checked the EXIF on the Doppler photo? Can a screen shot of that 2001 date mentioned be placed here? I can't even access the links anymore without logging in.

I say let them come to Texas. I doubt they will, but it would sure make things easy for me if they did.
