This season has soooo SUCKED!!
Most of the eggies got cooked in the 85 to 95 degree heat over the summer, or they turned to raisins or mold balls form the fluctuating humidity in the SIM.
I had two eggies left in the SIM, and checked on them this morning and they're raisins. And I KNOW they were alive a couple of days ago...poor babies!!
I don't know which to hate more-the SIM or the SuperHatch.
There's enough water in the Super Hatch to make it look like soup, but it's not getting to the eggs to keep them hydrated. There's enough to look like soup, but not enough to mold good eggs...just duds.
And the SIM lid fits perfectly.
I'm going back to vermiculite & GladWare next season.
So what if I have to pick vermiculite off the hatchlings?? At least they live to hatch and grow up!!
Screw the fancy stuff.
