• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any women here actually field collect?

Wondering if there are any women who actually enjoy going field collecting as opposed to just going along for the ride. What's the most rigourous collecting you've done? Where was it? What were you trying to find? :)

    How Clinton stayed in shape

Former President Clinton used to jog regularly, and he had a regular route that he would run that took him in close proximity to some interesting neighborhoods. Each day as he approached one particular corner a young women, dressed scantilly, would shout out to him... "One Hundred Dollars"...

    3 IT Guys

There were 3 IT guys stuck on a desert island. No wine, no women, no entertainment, except for each other and they pretty much had enough of that. One day they find a lamp and sure enough the lamp has a genie in it. They rub the lamp and out pops the genie... "Since there are 3 of you I can...

    How do I delete attachments?

I was in "Manage Attachments" trying to load a couple of pics. The software informed me that I was exceeding my limit and offered me a link to see all of the previous attachments that I had on Fauna. But I don't see how to delete attachments. :) -John Albrecht

Some of the first Aztecs ever produced

I'm digitizing some of my old photos and came across these. The animals were produced back in the early 1980's and were as far as I know the very first aztec type corns purposely bred. I had a bunch more and maybe when I come across those pictures I'll post them too. Enjoy! My apologies for...

Are tricolors really mimicking corals as a defence against predators?

I don't think elapsoides or regular scarlet snakes resemble coral snakes to scare off mammalian or avian predators. I think that the purpose of that mimicry is to give an additional split second to the animals when confronted by a coral snake!. I would think that coral snakes would be more...

    Even MORE Okeetee pics....

The first 3 pictures are the exact same 3 animals in the first Okeetee Cornsnake pic thread I started. Those animals were only a little bit larger than hatchlings so I'm assuming when I caught them they were yearlings. Those pics were taken in the spring. These pictures are taken today so...
