In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Dog for Adoption, Phoenix Area

Hey everyone, I have a dog that I took in about a month ago, and I need to rehome him. He was running loose, with no collar or tags, and glued himself to my leg when I was talking to the pest control guy a month ago. He's a younger dog, around 7-8 months old, I'd guess. He's about 25 pounds...

    Black Widow with Racing Stripes?

I found this guy hanging out in my mailbox the other day. I've seen many, many Black Widows around here over the years, but never one with markings like this. Has anyone else seen one like this?

    Off-site storage services?

I know we've got some tech-savvy people on here and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for off-site storage services? Where you back your data up onto their storage via the internet. I'm looking at Carbonite right now, but was wondering if there are any other, better, options out there?

Mercury Vapor Bulbs, which is the best?

I'm setting up some enclosures for lizards requiring hot spots and UV, so I was going to rig up some mercury vapor bulb lights. The two big brands that I see readily available are Power-Sun and T-Rex. Which do you feel is better, or is there a better option?

    This is good!

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. ATTORNEY: What was the first thing...

GoLizards.com, good people to deal with!

About a month ago I emailed Jason and Kelli (Cruse) about an ad they were running for Redfoot tortoises. They responded very quickly, were very helpful, and even took the time to snap a couple pics of the torts they had so I could pick the two I wanted. All this despite being busy vending at a...

    Umbrella Cockatoo or African Grey?

I'm thinking about getting a larger bird. I've got a cockatiel right now and want something with more personality and larger. I've narrowed it down to an African Grey or an umbrella Cockatoo. My concern is this. I don't have a ton of time to spend with a bird considering all the other critters...

    Scolopendra Polymorpha (Tiger Centipede)

I've had this guy for a while, but he decided to pose for some pics for me last night. He/she/it is a Tiger Centipede, Scolopendra Polymorpha, about 6-7 inches long, and an absolute eating machine!

    Asian Forest Scorpion

This is my Asian Forest Scorpion. Its about 5 inches from "nose" to the tip of its tail, so I think it's got some more growing to do. From what I understand, they can get over 8 inches long. What I really like about this guy is that he isn not shy at all! Hangs out in plain view most of the...
