    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Brand name vs. generic name

    During a discussion last night on fauna chat we talked about brand and generic names of medicine/drugs. Some people weren't aware of the difference, and I only knew it from covering it last week in EMT-B class. Brand name is the name a company associates with its product where the generic...

    What herps have bitten you?

    Some people seem to be more prone then others to get bit. For example, my friend will get bit by things that have never bitten anyone else before. My list is relatively short with no plans to add to it. The snakes might not agree with that. Northern Water snake as a kid Brazilian Rainbow SD...

    Well I'm shipping my brown kukri to a bud who wants him and my friend that is shipping him picked him up and decided to hold him firm to look at his belly. Well 'Saber' didn't like that and bit him. Carl laughed the " How cute a little snake is biting me" laugh. Followed by an ouch and other...

    New snake arrives tomorrow

    Getting a snake that finally falls into this category. It's a male Jewelled Kukri (everetti). I'm excited and plan on expanding into some of the 60 species of kukri as I've decided to do a 75/25 split of my collection. By that I mean 75% commercially viable snakes (readily available CB...
