    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Tell me this isn’t true!
Apparently when I send people or buyers to look at my ads, they can’t view my ads or pictures, and are requested to register and pay 30.00 to view ads and the pictures on the ads.
I also use to be able to copy the link and send it to them, which also throws up the registration page.
So my gripe is, I’m paying for the ability to post my snakes for sale on faunaclassifieds.com which nobody can get to the ad to view it without paying a 30.00 registration fee.
Not really fair for the buyer to pay a fee just to look at the ads. And everyone say Fauna is a pain to maneuver through their site.
Probably why the site isn’t doing well.
 
I logged out, went to one of your ads, and saw the pictures. I also did not get prompted to pay $30 before I could view the classifieds section.
 
I just tested viewing your ads. Same as bcr229. No problems viewing your ads. No request for $30.
And then I used another search engine to enter FC and your sales ads ... no problems viewing ... no request for $30.
 
If your a member of Fauna, you won't have problem viewing the classifieds, its people who are not members who have trouble viewing Fauna ads,
I used my wife's phone to try to get into my own Fauna ads and had problems viewing them, numerous advertisements to just get to my ad. I scrolled down where I could find my ad, I could see the written part of the ad, and could click on one picture, but was refused entry on the next pictures, then would be prompt to pay the registration fee.
I have had numerous buyers complain to me about trying to see ads on Fauna, Try using someone's phone who is not a member and see if you can view Faunaclassified.com ads and maneuver through them.

I had logged out and cleared my cache. There were more ads than normal but no issues viewing your or anyone else's ads, seeing the pictures, or popups requesting money.
 
The only thing I saw as a potential snag was that unregistered/not logged in viewers could not view attachments to a post. Which would include photos. But they could see the thumbnails. This was done to limit bandwidth being wasted by search engine spiders and other bots that would download those images for no practical or useful purpose.

I enabled this option but I really have to ask this. Is registering here really that painful and tedious for someone to do? These unregistered guests cannot reply to your ads nor contact you via the private messaging system anyway, so are you really missing SERIOUS potential buyers? Yeah, I know, you can set up contact info outside of this site, but do you really want to do that? MANY cases of scams have been initiated in that manner and then the victims will come to us complaining about it. I dunno, folks, but if you open yourself up to a punch in the jaw from an anonymous unknown assailant, what exact do you expect us to do about that?

As for the number of ads viewable to non paying members, well, sorry about that. But if anyone thinks that paid memberships, sponsorships, and banner advertising are making ends meet here, you are seriously delusional. The Google ads help a LOT to keep the lights on. It is either you put up with them, or some day you will come here and this site will no longer be here. Just the way it is. I do hope you don't really think this site is making me enough money for me to give a flying damn either way.
