• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. You all have probably heard the same things I have, too. Coffee drinkers will grouse at you to not even look in their direction till they have had their first cup of coffer. Or people will claim they are not even human till they have had their coffee and are not responsible if you get bitten if you get too close to them. Yeah, I heard that MANY times. But I never cared for coffee, so never drank any, ever. Surely all that was just an excuse and an exaggeration!

Not sure why, but I decided to try some caffeine pills a little while back. Bought some 200mg pills at Walgreen's one day. Maybe I was just feeling run down, depressed, or just needed a little more octane in my diet. And so I tried them, not really expecting anything. Well Holy Shazam, Batman! Took a few minutes, but I became significantly supercharged and alert. I HAD to find something to do! Even if it was something as mundane as cleaning out the cabinets in the kitchen and uncovering stuff that I am certain Connie long forgot was ever in them. Heck, I had NO idea what much of that kitchen paraphernalia was even for! And my attitude about life in general went into a pretty abrupt upswing. I actually felt happy and not that I was just "busy working" my way through life now, just flipping pages over on the calendar not much caring what tomorrow would bring. Coffee drinkers have been getting this all this time? Did they all just assume that we KNEW?

If you are not a coffee drinker, then do yourself a favor and just TRY it. As best I can tell, you really don't have anything to lose either way. And maybe more to gain than you might expect.

But now get this, an average cup of coffee contains 95mg of caffeine. I am taking a single 200mg pill every once in a while, NOT every day. So just over the equivalent of two cups of coffee. And supposedly the max recommended safe dose of caffeine is 400mg per day. Yowee! What do you suppose will happen if I take TWO of those pills? You just KNOW I am going to try it! Do you think I should make certain to have a heart defibrillator standing by? Just in case?

In any event, your mileage may vary. Everyone is different. But I do strongly recommend you DO NOT take one of these pills before you go to bed. Otherwise some people are going to be really irritated at you for running the vacuum cleaner up and down the halls at 3am in the morning.

Any more than one cup of coffee in the morning and I won't sleep the following night. I do need my cup of coffee, but just one.

I wonder how much more productive I could be with a caffeine pill? I never thought about it before. I’m not a coffee person at all, so I don’t have that type of pick-me-up…
