Parthenogenesis in Candoia paulsoni

I have a 4 year old female Solomon Island Ground Boa, produced by me and kept separate from any other snakes since birth, who delivered 6 live babies and a number of slugs this past Saturday. It was a shock, to say the least. None of the babies seemed especially vigorous and none shed properly. Sadly, I've already lost 4 of them, despite my best efforts. I corresponded with Warren Booth, who does parthenogenesis research, after finding the babies and he said that they're likely to do poorly. That's certainly been my experience so far but I'm holding out hope that at least one will survive. If anyone else has experience with a parthenogenetic Candoia litter, I'd be interested in hearing how it went for you. Thanks.

(I also posted in the Genetics, Taxonomy, Hybridization discussion forum.)

Parthenogenesis in Candoia - one baby still alive

Within the first week, I lost all but one of the babies. The remaining gal is still alive and seems like she might be a bit better. I'm tube-feeding her small amounts of Carnivore Care twice per week and that's either helping or at least not doing any harm. I'd welcome the advice of anyone who's had experience with parthenogenetic Candoia babies.
