Hello everyone!
I was wondering if you could provide me with insight in regards to a snake i have; I purchased him from a girl who purchased him from a school. The snake is 2-3 years old and currently measures 42-44 inches. It was originally purchased as a spotted python, however i am not so sure. Some say its a children's python.....Thoughts?

I would call it a Children's Python...but the size is above average, esp for the age.
Spotted pythons tend to lack the reddish coloration which is typical of Children's

I agree with Harald. Children's python.
I have a 12 year old male spotted: he is more gray in color and 30-36" long. Children's get larger and if it is a female that could explain the exceptional size... the age may be a bit off though, it took my male spotted 3-4 years to reach 30"

either way, nice snake

Looks like Antaresia maculosa.

The spotted python.
