OK, My eggs are starting to hatch! My first ever!

The first clutch was 11 strong and only 3 came through without spoiling. They were laid by a Reverse Okeettee female which was bred to a Snow Male.
What are these to be called?

THe next two clutch were laid by me Amel Females that were bred to the same Snow Male. These are due to hatch in two weeks. Again, What do I call these babies?

I see all sorts of different morphs called all sorts of names and I really do not want to mis-represent these in any way if I decide to sell or trade them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

reverse okeetee's are called thus because they generally have thick white around their saddles...the amel form of okeetee's which have thick black. If they're showing a lot of white around thier saddles, call em reverse okeetee het anery. The others would be amelanistic het anery. You could also say het snow, it seems to be a personal preference....half of the genetics for snow are visible, so it's obviously not het for amel, it is amel. So I would just say het anery. To me a het snow animal is a normal kid carrying the recessive genes that make snow...amel and anery.

When in doubt, just say what the parents were and provide pics of parents and their offspring for those who are interested....this way you aren't misrepresenting, merely showing them to be what they are.

Good luck with your kids...the first clutches are always exciting, and I still get excited every year when my girls lay. &nbsp; <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

OK,
The first two have hatched.

The first is orange and looks alot like the mother (reverse okettee).

The second, however, is really neat!! It looks like a pinkie! No other color except two shades of pink! Reaaly cool looking!

Keep an eye out for pics!

Any ideas what I am to call this one??

I plan on keeping the pink baby from this litter and rainsing it for the future. Maybe I'll breed it to an Anery. Wonder what would come of that??

Your suggestions and advice are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim,

the pink one is a SNOW! &nbsp;Congratulations. &nbsp;Turns out your girl is het anery, too.

I'm not suprised. &nbsp; One of the girls I got from the same breeder as your girls turned out to be het amel and anery too...I got amels, anerys and snows out of a clutch I thought would be all normals!

Sorry about your bad luck with the clutches...I'm sure you'll do better next year.
