Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Think back to the time of the first Thanksgiving, the settlers had absolutely nothing compared to us. Dieing off, left and right from disease, fighting winters with no shoes and farming for food. All that being said, THEY GAVE THANKS. We get upset if our happy meal takes to long, the light doesn't turn green fast enough or if someone else is doing better than us. WE SHOULD ALWAYS TAKE TIME TO GIVE THANKS, not just on one day of the year. Food for thought, just saying. Be safe in your travels everyone. |
Right back at you Jason and every one else too - Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
No turkey for us today. Kind of a good news, and bad news sort of thing. The good news is that we are spending all day outside in the beautiful weather we are having here. The bad news is that Connie and I are painting the porch. Spent the last week scraping, sanding, and filling in holes with spackle after I punch nail heads below the level of the wood. That didn't seem to bother us the first time around. Been painting for the past 3 days, with probably 4 more to do. Can only do so many sections a day so we can put on a second coat. We start around 10 or so when it warms up, and finish up just after dark. I had to bring out one of the shop lights from the garage and set it up on the porch to give us enough light to finish up for the day. Honestly, I will be THANKFUL when this is done. I think I would rather have a root canal than do painting. |
Paint vs. Turkey? I'd rather eat turkey. Enjoy!
