In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Outside enclosure for pit vipers

By next fall I am hoping to move to a unpopulated area on Sand Mtn, in the great state of AL. One of the things I am planning to do after I am moved is set up an outside "pit" or enclosure for pit vipers. I am only planning to keep regionally collected animals in there. Most likely the snakes I...

I had a little time off last week during the holiday and I completed most of the updates to www.ChuckHurd.com. The next phase is to complete the all the gallery pages on the gallery portion of the site. I would like to stock these galleries with photos of southeastern pit-vipers that have...

    Canadian horridus

At one time the horridus extended north into Canada. They are thought to be expatriated from the wild. Does anyone know of anyone or institution that still has specimens off of the original Canadian lines?

    Snake Economics

Couple nights ago i spoke with a breeder about a pair of CB 07 Albino Eastern Diamondbacks. He quoted me his price and it was surprisingly high. I had been quoted a price for a pair in 06 that was less then half his price. Trying not to be rude about it, I explained that was a more then I...
