• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Are there any forum rules regarding how PM's are used in response to ads?

    I don't know if there are any rules against it, but is there anything that can be done about people responding to an ad not with questions about the animal but instead merely trying to cause trouble? I'm trying to find the animal a home and I'd rather only receive messages about that, not...

    For Sale Yellow rat snake - NW Ohio

    I purchased a yellow rat snake from Sunshine Serpents. Everybody seems to rave about them. The snake appears healthy, but it looks nothing like the pictures we received, and the snake is VERY small for its age. I'm told it was hatched in august or september of 2012. I'm also told its female...

    How big is a 17 month old yellow rat???

    I know that they are all different, but just looking for an average. At 17 months of age, what would be a realistic expectation of the length and weight of a healthy female yellow rat?

    Jason is one of the best I've dealt with. We bought a GORGEOUS (and super feisty, LOL) yellow bull snake from him. Right after we bought her, we got hit with several snow storms, weeks of sub zero weather, weeks of near zero weather, near zero right now, sub zero coming again. It took over a...

    Inquiry Sunshine Serpents

    Has anyone dealt with sunshine serpents? We saw an ad on KS, for a snake, we really loved it. I contacted sunshine serpents about it, and the response was prompt and polite. I was told the price for the snake as well as shipping. We had an issue with the weather that caused some added...

    Good Guy Sam and Meagan Day

    I just made my first purchase from Sam and Megan. A GORGEOUS 2013 northern pine. They were really great with communication, sending pictures, answering questions. They were very accommodating , willing to work with me on payment arrangements, shipping, and even offered boarding if I needed it...
