• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Cabbage worms as feeder insects?

    If cabbage worms (Pieris rapae) are plucked off a vegetable in a garden that doesn't use any pesticides and chemicals, would they be safe? I know humans can eat them, although it's usually by accident. Birds seem to eat them without harm as well. I don't think they get anything toxic from their...

    Morphs with Genetic Health Issues

    I'm collecting information on ball python morphs that might carry harmful or lethal genetics. Given that there are so many different morphs out there today, I think it would be easy for somebody who is uneducated to buy one and not know what they are getting into, which is why I'd like to spread...

    Your opinion on Jaguar Carpet Pythons

    Right now I'm looking for info on genes of reptiles which are either harmful or lethal. It is a topic that interests me and I'd like to learn as much as I can so I can write about it and share the info. I'm currently looking for info on Jaguar Carpet Pythons specifically, especially from those...

    Links to other websites in discussion forums

    I'm wondering if it's ok to post links to other websites/forums/facebook/news in the discussion forums, NOT the BOI? I would not be saying "Joe Blow is a thief" but rather "according to Joe Blow's website, this trait is genetic" or something along those lines. Also, do images have to be by...

    lethal and deleterious genes

    Out of the many reptiles being bred these days, I know that some species have morphs that have deleterious/defective genes (is that the right terminology?) and some lethal. The ones I know that either cause defects or are lethal are: Ball python: Spider, woma/pearl, desert Leopard gecko: Enigma...

    Hello!

    Hi everybody! My name is Jesse, and I've had a long time interest in reptiles and amphibians. I currently own a male leopard gecko named Majik (after an OhGr song) whom I've had for about 6 years now, and 4 bumblebee toads which were recently acquired. Past species I've owned include garter...
