In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Are machines getting to be too intelligent?

OK, so a weird thing happened to me this past week at my local library. Usually I reserve my videos through our multi library system and pick them up when they come in but I had run out of things to watch so I actually stopped in to see what they had available. I was searching through the...

    Spider Geckos ???

I don't want to put this in the wanted section as it is more of an inquiry than a request but I was wondering if anyone has or had or knows of anyone who has had spider geckos (Agamura persica) available recently. If so a ball park cost would be appreciated. I've had them in the past but they...

what else do you feed you crested gecko diet to?

several months back I realized I had poured an extra dish of Pangea CGD so I decided to see if my golden gecko would eat it. He polished it off better than my cresteds did so now its a regular part of his diet as well. I usually mix up a weeks supply in a squeeze bottle but I must have made...

    Common snapper or ????

I need some help with a turtle my landlord found in one of his units. My initial instinct is that it is a common snapper (Chelydra serpentina) that someone found and decided to keep but the father of the ex tenant says his kid bought it. I know that doesn't eliminate the possibility that it is...

    Good Guy Samson Braden (Deadinthebasement)

Late Monday night I contacted Samson about some feather millipedes he had listed on another site. He got back to me within half an hour or so and today (Thursday) all 6, plus a couple of extras, are cruising around in their container looking all fat and sassy, or at least as fat and sassy as a...

    Wanted Large savannah monitor

Sadly I had to put down my adult male savannah monitor because he developed an inoperable tumor and stopped eating. This leaves me with one less star for my educational shows. I'm looking for an adult, or close to it, male or female. Great temperament is a necessity. If you are looking to...

    When one door closes...

After 15 years I am closing my shop. I was going to give it one more year (I've been saying that for the last three years) but apparently my landlord has found someone who will be able to keep up on the rent so he is not renewing my lease. It kind of sucks but it was the kick in the pants I...

    Phony $50.00 I'm so *^$& right now

I went to a fish swap in Milwaukee yesterday and sold 6 clownfish to a guy and he paid with a phony $50.00. Something just didn't seem right but it was dark in the place and I let my guard down. We made the deal and he spent about an hour circling the room talking with other vendors. When he...
