• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Corucia parturition

    I have a colony of corucia zebrata - all wild caughts from the last import. I have had some breeding and babies, but so far 1 yolk, 2 stillborns, 2 failure to thrive neonates (one died 2 days after, the other was eaten by it's father). I have 1 successful juvenile (i think there's a thread about...

    Corucia cold tolerance

    My first Solomon's was left loose in a room with a screened window basking area. At night the temperature would sometimes drop to 40F, yet he often chose to sit right by the screen, though there were heated basking and hide areas, and the room was warm. This worried me at first, but I gave up...

    drowning neonates

    One more for the night. My first living birth was very small and barely moved; it seemed very unstable and the mother was ignoring it, but I let it go, and found it dead in the water dish (filled literally 2mm - I use large shallow trays with 1cm high rims to prevent any chance of the babies...

    Oxalates in Solomon Island Skink diet

    Given that this species seems to deal with oxalates better than other reptiles, is it safe to introduce other high-oxalate greens other than pothos. Specifically spinach andd wild dandylions ? I've stayed away from those thus-far, but it seems that they would tolerate them well.

    corucia diet

    Might as well get it all out of my system. I have tried various types of diets with my PTS colony and have settled on the no protein supplementation plan (greens, small amt fruits and veg). I have in the past with my first individual given a more protein rich diet (insects, protein powders, soy...

    Corucia infanticide

    I was hoping someone would shed light on this. I have a large group (20+) of PTS, and a while back, a trio (1:2) produced a very lively neonate. I decided to leave it with the parents, and everything was fine for about 3 weeks, after which I returned one day to find that the other female of the...
