In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Multispecies (Ecosystem) Vivarium Ideas

Hey guys, I have some experience with reptiles, inverts, and plants, but no experience with fish. I want to make a vivarium that is a self-contained ecosystem, maybe not necessarily with things from the same part of the world but obviously things with the same humidity and temperature...

Eric Fiegel caught on tape stealing from Predators Reptile Center in Mesa

http://www.azfamily.com/news/local/Man-shoves-snakes-down-pants-in-alleged-Mesa-robbery-128365578.html Absolutely disgusting. I know Christian Kaleta personally and it makes me pretty angry that someone would steal from such a kind, generous man.

    Restrictive return policies

asixtwo posted this on a BOI thread: I didn't want to derail that thread with my thoughts on that, so I started my own. More and more I'm seeing new or relatively unknown sellers with these increasingly elaborate and restrictive policies for customers who are unsatisfied with their purchase...

    Mealworm colony troubles

Been trying to set up a mealworm colony for a few months now. First I tried them on oatmeal, and had slow progress. Then I was recommended to put them on chick feed, but that molded quickly and I had to trash that colony since I couldn't risk getting my geckos sick. Then I put them on corn meal...

    REPTILES mag article...

The recent issue of REPTILES had an article about a DVM encountering a woman attempting to feed her newly acquired burmese python a vegetarian diet... the same one she inflicts upon her fish, birds, and cats... I dearly, dearly hope that veterinarian did more than just laugh at her and tell her...

Does anyone else have dreams like this???

I often have dreams in which I have many more animals than I really own, and I just forgot about them. The animals in question have gone without care for long enough to warrant an "OH MY GOD CRAP" moment in-dream. Sometimes I remember them early enough that they're just a little hungry/gone...

Subadult Classic cornsnake for adoption in the Phoenix Arizona area

This boy has never missed a meal his entire life, and would do well as a display snake as he's constantly out and about exploring his tank. He's got some beautiful oranges coming in and just gets prettier every shed. Excellent for handling. Does not come with tank, small rehoming fee. I wish I...

Medi Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus) hatchling help

So tonight my cat found something more interesting than his usual cricket or beetle... a Mediterranean house gecko. This guy is TINY! My smallest mealworms are about the length of his entire body. I rescued him from the cat and I was going to just let him go back out into the yard when I noticed...

    Inquiry Snakeman-75 aka Richard Mulleneaux

Received an odd PM today from someone I'd never before spoken to. I responded that I wasn't looking right now, which is true as I neither have the space nor the equipment to accommodate an adult BP. I noticed that he had made one post in his 10 months on FC. Maybe reading the BOI has made me...

    Good beginning invert?

Considering getting an invert of some kind because of their small size, ease of care, and having always been fascinated by them. I like mantids best, but I read they live less than a year usually, and I don't really want to buy an entire setup for something that'll only be mature for a couple...

    Best beginner herp or invert?

I have a friend who's been pulled into the hobby (specifically the snake part) by my own interest, and for a while we've been looking at every species under the sun trying to find one that's 1. Not too expensive (under $50 preferred, under $100 necessary... show prices, not online+shipping) 2...

    Similar to BP?

I really enjoy the feel of a BP and how calm they are being handled and yet curious while in their tanks... but I can't stand the way their patterns and color morphs look. Are there any snakes you'd recommend that are similar to BP's but with different coloration? Preferably on a <$100 budget.
