In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Good Guy Donna Fernstrom / Eclipse Exotics / WingedWolf

I purchased a male superdwarf retic from Donna and could not be happier. Donna was quick to respond to my messages and questions, great communication all around. They're growing up

I wanted to post pics of my 2011 het pied pair I got from Steve (SerpentsDen) last year. They have been amazing. They have so far devoured rats constantly and are growing like little ball python weeds. They are both over 800g. Neither of them understand the 'ball' in ball python, so pics were...

    Venomous and Non (many photos)

I had a friend who was kind enough to let me photograph his venomous and non-venomous collection - a great aid to a project. I enjoy the time very much and learned quite a bit. Just watching some of these animals for some time is quite interesting - they always appear to be evaluating. I thought...

    Scaley Photo Shoot

I had this photo shoot in mind for a bit, just had to get everyone ready for it. (snakes and model) The model is a good friend of mine and fantastic to do this. She dislikes or more honestly hates snakes and had never even held one prior to this. I gave her one of my young ball pythons for a...

    My new girl

I adore retics, but like to stick to those I can still manage to pick up without a crew of people. So, I have been interested and researching the dwarf and super dwarf retics. There were a couple at the expo over the weekend and this girl was just stunning. She is a three-year-old SD/dwarf (not...

I was time for a photo day (DUW)

There are only two of the ball pythons, but I haven't gotten any photos of them since they got here. Now that they've had some time to settle in and have a couple meals it seemed like a good time to get some shots of them. The photos are of my 1.1 het pieds from Steve (Serpents Den). I took way...

    Got lost on feeding

I apparently made the mistake of trying to figure out if I was feeding in a correct amount and size. My boas are new to me and as with anything I like to research and double check. (and then research some more) I have been reading quite a bit on feeding and found a somewhat recent thread on here...

    Another mite question

I have read plenty about mites to know what I am looking for, but apparently still can't spot them (well originally). I traded for a BCI and brought her home last Sunday. She looked fine, ate the next day. This morning I looked at her water bowl and I saw two black specks - mites. Look her over...

    General BCI question

So I got a lovely 3-year-old 5ft female BCI yesterday in a (slight unexpected) trade. She is a (current no name) sweetheart and I have her setup, but I am honestly a little lost when it comes to a hide. I don't know of any made that are large enough for her. I gave her a box in temporary and she...

    Snakes shouldn't click

I am generally paranoid so I could be worrying too much or maybe not enough, I don't know. My Brazilian Rainbow Boa (3-4 months) has been making a clicking noise when she breathes. I had noticed it probably a several weeks ago (which worries me even more if it is something and it has been there...

    Ideas for feeding BRB

So my girl, Amana has been a gem since I got her the end of last month. I just seem to have issues with getting her to eat consistently (or at all really). I am quite sure the first time I tried to feed her she didn't have enough time to settle in (3 days), so that didn't bother me. A week later...

    My first BRB

I have had my Brazilian Rainbow Boa - Amana - for two weeks now and she is settling in quite well. Just decided to find a flaw in my designs and escaped once and tried to give me a heart attack. Found her of course with my boyfriend's help of "you have a snake loose". Shes a sweet, strange...

    Possible morph question

I am quite new to ball python morphs and identification (except for the glaring obvious). I work at one of those scary big chain stores and our ball pythons are of course all normals. The last batch we got in though there is one that does not look like a normal. He appears a bit lighter and much...

    Reptile Photographs

I am majoring in photography and my final project for my black and white photography class had to be a themed project - something that we had not done before. I am quite new to owning reptiles and non-furry animals, but have and have had plenty of the furry ones (and have most focused on equine...

    Introducing myself

With all the browsing I have been doing lately I figured it was time to introduce myself. My name is Shannon, I am in school majoring in photography and I guess you could say I am new reptile enthusiast. I have admired snakes for many years and finally got my first one a couple months ago, a...
