    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I think it's safe to say this thread got trolled. lol. I've see more creative episodes of springer. I also think it's safe to call this thread dead. Kinky is recovering well in a new, better home... what more is there to say about it?

When a moderator indicates that discussion of a particular subject is done, and the person that initiated that particular discussion is banned...why does it take somebody else getting banned to make it sink in that people should stop?
 
(ok, Mike Schultz didn't initiate that part of the discussion, but he made it disruptive and off topic...I was tolerating the Ashley and Crystal version because it gave some insight to the personal conflict involved with this situation.)
 
I don't care how this all came about, but there are still facts here that show that Kinky was not well taken care of even before the abandonment. First off, he's almost 3 years old and is 21 inches long. Little small if you ask me. Second, part of his tail was broken and obviously infected for a long time. So bad that it finally fell off and I had to lance it. The infection is gone and it's healing nicely after some vet care and antibiotics. And third, if you own an animal, it's YOUR responsibility to care for that animal. That means knowing where it's at and how it's being kept at all times. The fact that you "thought" Ryan or someone else removed him just pisses me off even more. Own up to the fact that you couldn't and didn't want to care for him anymore. He was disposable to you and that is just pathetic. Kinky weighed barely 1lb. when I got him. That doesn't happen to a healthy tegu over the period of just one month. If he had no lights and no food, he would probably have buried and went into some state of brumation to reserve fat stores. This guy was not being taken care of long before you left.

Firstly, thank you for returning to the original topic, that was getting a little bit dark :ack2:

Second, I appreciate beyond words what you're doing for poor Kinky. I became a fan of him on FB and subscribed on Youtube so I could watch him recover. Thank you for everything you've done, are continuing to do, and now for this new information and the update. I'm glad he is still recovering, despite the setbacks. I have so few posts on this site, but this thread really drew me in. Please, please keep us in the loop as he gets stronger. :)

A POUND? On a 3 year old tegu?!? That poor creature! That's amazingly underweight, and yes -- hard to get to that point in just a month. Wow. That's awful. I'm so glad he's being cared for properly now.
