Black Light Fluorescent Tubes For UV?

Hello,

I apologize if this question has been answered before, I did a quick search and didn't find much about it.

I am curious if black light fluorescent tubes produce a sufficient amount of UVB to be used for lizards that have high UV requirements. The reason I am considering BLF is that they are a bit cheaper and from what I have read last much longer (ie produce UV light for a longer period of time) than the commercially available reptile bulbs. I'm looking for high quality UV light that lasts without going the route of mercury vapor.

NOTE: I'm not talking about the black lights you get as novelties and poster lights. The ones I'm talking about are the ones used to cure UV resin etc.

Thank you in advance for any thoughts you have on the matter.

Kyle
