    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Craig perhaps you misunderstood what I posted, perhaps that is my fault and I did not say it clearly.
I am saying that telling him to hang onto the critter for a few weeks was a good thing, that way the critter would not get stressed from being shipped twice in a row.
If you made any sort of post that told your buyer he could keep the critter, that would be different, but I have not seen such a post.
 
No I never said flat out keep him.
And now I understand your question better. I did say ship him back in 2 weeks. But when my emotions were running high I asked him to send him back yesterday for Saturday delivery. Like I said emotions were running high. In retrospect that was a horrible idea. The fog has now pretty much clearer from my head and I'm hoping that he hands him off to a chameleon buddy of mine. If this takes place I will let him use his own best judgement to choose the best time to send him back. If it's a couple weeks or even til spring I'll be more than happy with it. I'll just send him the money needed to maintain him for how ever long it takes.

Nope. A foregone conclusion at this point. The email account that you worked with through Paypal is connected to "Mark's" account which is a direct match for Ray's account which uses one of the email addresses possessed by James. He was texting you through the phone number associated with the "Mark" account's email address.
 
He just sent me like 5 emails. He's stuck on the fact where I said keep it if he's not satisfied. Which I said under under distress. 100% did not mean it. I did say but that was because I was bullied. He's also threating to call the police on me because I posted his address. Basically he wants this to stop. Guess what. He is not going to be a bully anymore to me. His threats scare me this much zero.

So now I'm taking it up to the next level. I know a lot of you are not going to agree with this but I'm in a corner and I don't like it.

Here it is. REWARD for the safe return of my chameleon. I will not discuss the reward because he might return him to me in another form of another person to continue to gain from this deal.

You've now given two very different answers to the same question. Which is it? If you did say that he could keep it, well, if your word means anything to you, it seems like the animal is now rightly his.

At this point, I'm thinking just posting screenshots of all communications would be prudent. I can't help wondering exactly what was said that forced a grown man to do something he now regrets so much. I mean, unless he was making credible threats of bodily harm against you or your family, I think you're wayyyy overplaying the victim card.

Not saying that the buyer's a good guy, as he definitely doesn't appear to be. I do, however, think that the seller played a significant part in choosing to be out both his money and his animal.
 
He has also posted a thread on chameleon forums. He goes by penguinbreeder. I checked his profile but there's no name in it. Thought maybe if find another alias. But no dice.

Words do not have secret meanings. If you told him he could keep it, then I agree with Dan, the critter is now his, unless he used the kind of threats Dan referred to.

As for the reward, if the critter is his, anyone taking it without his consent would be stealing.


Craig this critter, as fine as it is, or $200, is not worth your rep. If you told him he could have the critter, your word means something, walk away and learn from this, and I hope it never happens to you again.

You know your right Lucille. Unfortunately the words did indeed come out of my mouth.
But the words that also came out of his mouth are if he's doing fine in 2 weeks he will ship him back. I'm not going to hold my breath.
At this point it kinda just is what it is.
I didn't take a total loss. I did learn something from this whole thing. So that in it self is something to me. Plus hopefully this thread will help someone from falling prey to him again.
I'm done with the back and forths with him. It's a dead end road.
So I'm going to let it fade into the sunset.
My hands are so tied there isn't a knife big enough to cut then free.but I guess just by letting it go they will untie themselves. Life's to short to harbor hate and ill feelings. I'm not going to give my power away anymore. He did get the best of me. The longer I stay upset the longer he wins. So I'm taking control over it now. "Let go and let God" I just lost my mother October 26. I've been through enough in recent days. That in itself has knocked the wind clean out of me.
I'm like a cat. I always land on my feet somehow some way.

Awesome post, and you came through a difficult transaction that shows your good reputation is deserved, while I think many people will think twice before doing biz with Mark.

This guy is a joke. The cham does not have mbd. He's been trying to convince people on chameleonforums.com that a tiny twitch in the foot is a CLEAR sign of mbd. Many senior members have chimed in and said no way, the cham looks fine. Also he's been told to take it to a vet if he's so worried. He won't but is still trying to convince everyone to no avail. I'm sorry Craig that you are having to deal with this theif. That cute baby cham does not look sick to me at all. Just scared and unsure of the new giant predator holding him. I hope you get your cham back or at least your money. Good luck Craig!
 
Just wanted to share an email I just sent. Figured it was worth a shot. Kinda a last ditch effort. He did 100% say he would ship him back in 2 weeks if he was healthy. Well he's healthy. As long as he can properly care for him he will remain healthy. If in 2 weeks he's not its because he somehow screwed him up. But I doubt that's gonna happen.

One of my buddies just found this. It's on the 3rd page of the chameleon section. This account is not banned. So what out from him posting from this account. James Bland I found yet another account of yours. What does this make 4 or 5 accounts?
