Japanese magnolias - 2022

The Japanese Magnolias are blooming, even though that 21 degree night we had a little while back kicked back some of the earlier blooms. These are always the earliest plants to bloom in early spring around here. Sometimes they are a bit TOO early and a cold night will do them in. This year we actually had flowers blooming on Connie's Meyer lemon trees, and even had some small fruits forming too. Until that 21 degree night, however. That kicked them all in the butt pretty hard.

Oh yeah, we have a pear tree in back of the garage that will bloom even in the winter months, but I don't count that crazy darn thing.

Oh well, that's just the way things go, I guess. Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to the weather, I guess.
