    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Truly glad you didnt send them any money, Ed. I hate to see anyone get ripped off.

This thread is a perfect example of what everyone should do before sending people any money.

I'm just gonna say-
I bought Bearded Dragons from Jeane Best in February 2007 and I was quite pleased. I did read the info on BOI but went ahead with it anyways.

Communication was excellent, Jeane was concerned about the temps and held them until weather was good, they arrived well packed and included extras like care sheets, other info. sheets and hatch certificate. They were larger and more colorful than I expected.

Overall a good transaction and no problems. The dragons are still doing great.
 
Count yourself as lucky.. And congrats on the new Dragons Most people do not share your experience
 
I shipped them a panther chameleon a few years back, and remember it being a very odd situation.... On arrival, I was told that the cloth snake bag with dry paper towel that the chameleon was in was sopping, dripping wet. I asked if the box and shredded paper around the cloth bag was wet (I was thinking UPS got it all wet) or the heat packs, and they said no, just the cloth bag was dripping wet, everything else was dry. The chameleon did fine, but I was confused for a week about it all. I guess I still am. They didn't claim anything, but it's those kinda things that scare me away from doing business again.

When I first saw this, my reaction was that there wasn't much negative about Jean. The problems all seemed to generate from Wendy or Wendy pretending she was Jean.

Has there ever been anything regarding Jean, acting alone, sending sick animals or giving people a hard time. The Jeane Best thread is really Wendy not Jean. Jean's only interaction is a few posts to protect her daughter. And personally I'm not going to fault her for that.

I'm probably wrong though and I'm sure I'll find out shortly. :)
 
Kevin, you are a wise man, all the digging that I did was all Wendys actions. Jeane is getting a bad rap because of her daughter. Im buying Cresties from Jeane and will report how the deal goes. :iagree:

FYI, I have heard through LEO channels that Wendy may not be currently incarcerated as her "manager" Ali stated. I'll try to confirm this in the next day or two. So I would be careful in any dealings with any one associated with her.

And by the way, has anyone actually confirmed Jean is Wendy's mother and not just an incarnation of Wendy herself?
