3 I used my infrared thermometer on my corn snake and his body temp was 78 is that a proper body temp for a king snake?
4. The ambient temp in the tank is 74 is that ok?

He is in a 20 gallon long and eating and digesting food properly. He doesn't seem to be lethargic or anything. I was just curious if I should get a over head night light to run the temps up a little bit. I mean I do live in California lol so the room temp is in the 70's and the out side temp here lately has been about 79 to 80. Sorry for the drug out post just a concerned king owner.

Thanks!
Have you checked the temp of the tank floor right where the heat pad is? 91 seems like it should be ok as long as the snake has areas to escape the heat, which are cooler. I'm just wondering if it's 91 on the floor, or is that the setting on your pad? I don't like over head heat, cause it tends to dry out the enclosier.
