'Amphibia' is a class, too, not a family -- though the boa mistake is more egregious of course. Herpetology should be a requirement in journalism school (only half joking here).
I'm not too supportive of the beardie on the head. Encouraging safe herp handling technique should be a primary focus of presentations by rescue organizations; unrestrained and 6 feet above a gym floor ain't that, regardless of how predictable an animal has been up until that point.
