Hi my name is Dave Snyder and I am a 6th Grade Science Teacher in
Virginia. I'm also the sponsor of our wildly popular Snake Club.

We just lost a WC Eastern Milk that was a Classroom Pet. A student of mine caught it after it came out of its first hibernation. I had it for another 10mo's.

We had a lot of snowfall here (about 4 feet) and school was closed for a little over one week. The building was locked and someone decided to crank up the heat from the administrative office. It completely dried up the water bowl and the snake and also a baby northern watersnake.

I'm not too upset about the northern water, but I'm crushed by the loss of our milk. If anyone knows of a way I can get my hands on one (preferably young) please contact me @ 703.727.2344 or email me at
