Limit replies to only those persons with direct experience with the author of the thread? Might be a nightmare to enforce. IMO those could be covered under the "Disruptive posting in classified ad" infraction. Also if the OP really wanted to he could just delete the ad since it looks like the critters he had up for sale are no longer available.
It'll take a while, especially if the goal is to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high, but we can certainly encourage quality feedback while discouraging shitposting.
