An alternative to crickets?

I am looking for an alternative to crickets that is not as stinky. I was thinking silk worms or roaches. Any help?

feed them mulbery plants or prepared silkworm chow from a pet store,
this tells you allot about them...

I recently made the switch to lobster roaches and am very happy with it, they are about the same price, they breed like crazy, they dont smell or make noise, they have a lot of protein and not much of an exoskeleton. Silkworks are a bad staple diet, too expensive, too hard to care for, and too fatty. Not a bad treat every once in a while but i would definately go for the lobster roaches.

Any advice on breeding them? I always thought roaches smelled. I have a 20 long that I can use to breed them in.
