Very excited about the show!

I won't have too much on my table, a few baby gargs and some juvvies/possibly an adult or two. I might bring some roaches along- because I just love them.

Not vending this year, gonna be at the farm that week end so the show is not that far and it seems intriguing.

Oh, please DO bring roaches!!

I lost my colony last year!!

Dubias or Lateralis??

And what is the secret to keeping them??

I had lots of egg cases, but they got moldy and died!

Were they too damp?? Too cold? Too hot?

I'm clueless!!

I was better at breeding pinhead crickets.

Dubia, they like it hot, close to the 90s. Mold is a serious problem for roaches. I guess the real key is just to make sure you're not keeping them too humid (they handle low humidity pretty well compared to some species, so I've heard, and I've not lost any to humidity being too low) and to only feed them as much as they will eat in a 24-48 hour period, depending on what the food is.

I'll probably throw together a few containers of 100 nymphs, my girls have been having babies like crazy! Hopefully by spring I'll have enough to bring some larger amounts including some mixes with adults for starter colonies.

I never thought I would enjoy the roaches as much as I do, but they are pretty fun

What do you feed yours??

I had Lateralis, and fed them fresh chopped greens, cricket gutload and fruit/veggie scraps.

Used the water pillows for hydration.
