stir fry, chicken alfredo, tacos, and baked potatoes was the old menu standard with take out and some frozen dinners mixed in.

How about veal marsala with angel hair pasta and garlic bread?

Think I could substitute the veal with a cheaper steak?

Sure, and you can also do chicken, pork or fish.

Every once in a while, it's nice to have breakfast for dinner, a big egg scramble or omlet, to change things up. Or maybe a ham steak, some veggies and instant mashed potatos?
Sometimes, the hardest part is being able to cook small enough portions for one.

Ever try a breakfast pizza? Pillsbury pizza crust dough, scrambled eggs, bacon, with Hollandaise sauce, S&P to taste.
