Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Busted
I was on my way home today and passed a flea market area. Right outside the market was a parked pickup truck with a sign saying 'CKC Weenie puppies for sale' I felt sorry for the puppies, I live in the Houston area and it is HOT out today.
So, I see a cop car pull over by the truck. I believe it is actually a citable offense to sell puppies out of one's vehicle now.
I hope the puppy seller got a citation. I hope he gets a fine and that the fine is more than what he would have made off of those poor pups.

I second that - and I hope those puppies are taken away from those people. I've seen things like that, and it really makes me mad, and I feel sorry for the animals being put through that. I once saw a wire cage type kennel outside someone's house, sitting in the blistering summer heat, with no shade and no water bowl. In the kennel were 5 little puppies, and a sign saying "puppies for sale". No one was outside with them either.
I was so tempted to stop and take those puppies, and get out of that and give them water, but it was the kind of neighborhood I'd likely get shot at! I called the local animal control, but who knows if anything was ever done about it.
Some people just make me sick!!!!

I can't believe people sometimes. I have never heard of someone selling puppies on the side of the road. Makes you wonder what someone will try to sell next on the side of the road.

I see it frequently in our area. They sell in the Wal-mart parking lot, side of the road and at the local flea market. Unfortunately, the ones sold and given away at our local flea market very frequently end up as dinner. I hope they all get busted.

Saw that same thing today near our local Grocery store... I saw a cop car pull over and as I was leaving the store they were gone.. I hope they got cited and told never to come back... I hate seeing people do that with those poor helpless animals Another thing that really bothers me is people leaving their dogs in their cars or the back of their trucks to go shopping!!! I've seen it so many times and called animal control several times because here in Florida the inside of the trucks can get over 120 degrees

What the ?? People eat puppies where you live?
I have seen the same thing here, south of ATL, in the parking lots at WalMart and Pet Smart mostly ... but never when pups were actually inside a car. On truck tailbeds or in crates outside a vehicle.
I don't like to see that, but I do know people who've purchsed wonderful family pets that way. Better than simply dumping them at pound, I suppose. Of course, responsible owners spay or neuter and don't end up hawking innocent little lives in parking lots.

Now why do I picture a shady character with a trench coat with half a dozen puppies in pockets on each side?

Yes, there are some cultures that eat dogs and cats. It happens all over the country.
Also, some of the homeless were stealing shopping carts and using them as grills for Fido.
