Hi everyone,
basically have been on hundreds of forums for a long time just never got to this one.
I am a research biologist specialising in the taxonomy and palaeontology of turtles, specifically Australasian turtles. I work out of the University of Canberra in Canberra, Australia.
I have kept many species of reptile over the past 35 years and was at one stage a zookeeper as well, before becoming an academic.
As far as turtles go I have had the luck to describe 5 new species, one of which will be out in the next month and am currently working on about 5 more species and a new genus.
I maintain my own website on turtles,
Carettochelys.com, for those interested in far more detail on my work with turtles please go have a look. Otherwise am happy to answer question if people have any on taxonomy of turtles, genetics, morphology and anataomy as well as disease treatment and management in turtles.
Cheers, Scott
