Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Favorite uro species?
I don't have any uros yet. But, they are one of the lizards I would definately like to get into in the future. I thought it would be interesting to find out from the uro keepers out there what their favorite species are and why.

I have kept Malis and Moroccans (still have 0.1 Moroccan). The Malis were much more personable and handleable where the Moroccans just wanted to get away. As for beauty I'd love to have ornates, the ones with mostly green, not blue. They are very interesting animals to keep.

I like the Malis and the Red Saharans.
I am like Karen, my dream one day is to own an ornate.
I really like the uros because I don't have to feed them live animals and they seem like a calm reptile. Sometimes they almost look like they are smiling at you.
Our first one was a Mali, "Mr. Tater Head". We named him that because when you looked down on him, his head was almost the perfect shape of Mr. Potato Head.
I like to rub their little fat cheeks and watch them go to sleep! Their little brown eyes are so cute!
They don't seem to want to wander off as badly as our beardies! They are pretty content to just sit on us and stay warm.
I hope to own some cb saharans one day and an Indian. The Indians are supposed to have great personalities also.

I have a mali i just purchased about a month ago and she is very calm and tame i don't have much experience with other uros but for a beginner malis are a good choice and probably easiest to find.

I have a Mali, which is the furthest extent of my care with them. The ornates are just killer looking. I have watched an Egyptian once for two weeks and it was not nearly as social, all it wanted to do was run and hide. Though it could have simply been that particular Uro just did not like people.

I've had 3 Mali's and 2 Nigerian. My female Max was awesome....she would role over on her back doing the breeding "slap" on her chest. and the males would just look at her like DUH???? She would actually try to jump for wax worms (since they get only 10% protein in their diets) I could actually call her and hand feed her peas, carrots, and dandelion flowers. I gave her to Daniel and Wendy of Scales 4 years ago.....I still miss her.

Well, I'd like to say Uracentron, but I'm not sure because there isn't much info on them, so I'm not sure if they belong as a uro species or iguana species, because i've seen them listed under both. I don't have any yet, but I'm working on getting a pair of them soon. Otherwise, I'd probably say either the Malis or Egyptians.
