HOLY MOLY! Look what just hatched out on Monday morning (9-12-2005)!

Look what just hatched out on Monday morning (9-12-2005)!
Take a look at this! This was produced by my friend Dan Kenedy. He did it by breeding a wild-caught male Banded hypo Cal King to a CB female Banded albino Cal King. There were 6 good eggs of which 3 hatched out fully striped, while the remaining 3 hatched out fully banded (nothing inbetween, just fully striped, or fully banded). The stripeds probed out as females and two of the bandeds probed as males. The last banded had not left the safety of his egg by the time that I left so I could not probe it. None of the babies came out hypo like the father, which leads me to believe that it is most likely a simple recessive trait. Aside from being het for albino and most likely het for hypo, there seems to be something else at play with these guys. Check out how one of the striped females came out! Pics of the father will follow the pics of this very unique baby.

Wow!!!!! She is a killer! That is something else, amazing what happens for some odd reason. Dad is good looking also. Flum's of San Diego, just may explain the unexplained, just like the people that live here.

Thanks, but it was just one of the 3 stripes that came out like that.

That is an incredible look!!! I'd breed that stripe back to a parent and see if you get more like it. Is it a reflection in one of the eyes, or actually a speckle of white? Gorgeous snake!
