Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Blake Sheldon joke about killing turtles
Here a chance for us to all make a difference in a small way. Apparently this country western singer is a real jerk. He tweeted a few days ago about purposely swerving off the road to run over an endangered eastern box turtle. Seems after alot of flak from us herp lovers he said it was a joke, BUT he never gave a sincere apology and laughed at us all and said to get a life and get laid. He was going to relax and have a bowl of turtle soup, and more stuff like that. In addition he insulted herper professionals in his tweets, and implied that he has given over a million dollars in animal rescue and conservation, BUT so far no one has been able to find any record of it.
Please go on his facebook, research his tweets and comment on his facebook. This guy needs a severe case of "grow-up". He has many young impressionable fans, being the justin beeber of country music and they are now thinking it's cool to kill wildlife, especially turtles. Please go to his Facebook page and post comments.

what a lamer he is! not in hell, so I couldn't call him what I wanted to.
he tweets:
"For the last time I didn't hit a turtle! I haven't seen a turtle! So please all you turtle freaks go back to eating your boogers!! It's ok."
now he's acting all proud that everyone is talking about it..

Honestly, I figured from the start that it was just a poorly thought out "publicity stunt". How many people that swerve to the roadside to hit a turtle or snake can actually identify it as anything other than a turtle or snake? Naming the specific turtle and referencing that it is protected doesn't really match the action, IMO.
Regardless, it was a dumb move; and, sadly, while it may cost him some fans, the stereotypical redneck C&W fan will not only relate, many will emulate...no doubt yelling his name as their pickup truck kicks up roostertails of dust/dirt.

Well I can't comment about the case above, but as one who does reptile displays daily, I get told about the case of the man who swerved to hit a snake on the road constantly.
In fact I even recall a published study some years back on the same subject (USA study)and it found that most people tried to miss most non-snake animals, but aimed for the snakes.
Here in Australia, fake snakes were used to target people illegally catching snakes on roads at night...
All the best

So he made a comment get over it. sorry to sound like an a** also. im not saying its ok to run over animals on purpose but why is everyone making a big deal about it theres nothing you can do. his record sales will not go down at all just because of the comment.
