Ebay Hacked

Apparently Ebay was hacked a couple months ago. Now they are claiming they did not even know their customer's info was compromised until 6 weeks later. I had to hear about this (and the advice to change my password) from CNN a couple days ago.

I'm not happy that Ebay did not realize it had been hacked, but I am REALLY not happy that I did not hear about this two weeks ago when they found out.

I think a lot of companies just try to put the hush on when they have bad news. To me, that's a mistake.
Come clean, let your customers know, and do what you can for them.

Badly handled.
