• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Jeane Best - Sold me an emaciated chameleon

R.I.P Rango. You will be missed :(

The poor little guy didn't make it. This angers me

I hate watching animals suffer because of some one's negligence. This rare and beautiful animal had to rely on Jeane or Wendy for it's food, water and supplements. They failed him. The poor guy had no means of survival, living in a confined space where it barely rains, prey is rare, and there's no escape.

Not only did they fail as reptile keepers, but as business owners as well. They should have no business in the reptile industry. Don't risk your money with them, not even Paypal can save you! I know because I'm out $300 since Paypal decided to take the dispute / claim in Jeane's favor. :shrug01:

My wife and I became really attached to this little chameleon over the last 8 days. Needless to say it's a sad day in our household today. :(

Really sorry to hear this Luis. It wasn't for lack of trying on your part. I do believe that animals know kindness in some way. They often know when their luck gets better and know when we are trying to help them. I saw evidence of that every day when I was a rehabber. You did your best and you should feel proud about that. The little guy at least knew kindness before he passed. Jean and Wendy should be ashamed, but they never have been as far as I can tell.

Sorry for your loss. :(

GRAPHIC PIC!

Someone just messaged me and suggested I post a pic as evidence. Hear ya go.

It sucks that the poor little guy didn't make it. I looked back over the thread, but may have missed it. Where did the PayPal funds come from: existing balance, credit/debit?

Sorry about the little guy. It sucks to put in that much effort into trying to right someone else's wrong to have it turn out badly.

Does anyone know where the duo might be hanging out posting ads? Seems like right now it's just been fauna and KS. The KS ads that had been up are all gone now.

Been trying to hunt around the net and about the only thing "recent" I can find is on hoobly.com. Apparently Wendy ripped someone off on a squirrel they were trying to purchase from her about a month ago ...they were seriously ticked and spammed hoobly with scam warnings in several categories (all but one have either expired or were yanked by an admin though).

This is Wendy's account there: http://www.hoobly.com/members/reptileaddictions/

The one who got ripped off, created this account to post their warnings under. http://www.hoobly.com/members/wendychilds/

The only one left that I was able to get a copy/paste of:

Wendy Childs of Reptile Addictions is a scammer
took our money for a squirrel. $520 down the drain but we are letting the authorities federal and local know:

Wendy C Childs
AKA Bianca Trump
AKA Wendy Christine Iwanow

Race or Ethnicity: White
Occupation: Pornstar

Nationality: United States

Boyfriend: William Ochs Prostitution Pompano Beach, FL (1995), charges dropped Armed Robbery Pompano Beach, FL (1995), acquitted Bankruptcy (Nov-2001) Forgery arrested, Spokane, WA (7-Nov-2003) Forgery arrested, Spokane, WA (2-Feb-2005) Unlawful Possession of a Firearm arrested, Spokane, WA (2-Feb-2005) Drug Possession: Methamphetamine arrested, Spokane, WA (30-Jun-2005) Assault sentenced (29-Nov-2006) Kidnapping sentenced (29-Nov-2006) Forgery sentenced (29-Nov-2006) White Supremacists Risk Factors: Methamphetamine

They also looked to have posted a scammer warning on craigslist, but that got flagged really quick so only had the post title - not the actual message contents...but I figure it's pretty much along the lines of what was on hoobly.

I was informed by kingsnake that if there are 3 or more unresolved reports against Jeane, then her KS account will be suspended. If you have been wronged by Jeane through an ad on KS or know of any KS terms she has violated, I encourage you to report her to Kingsnake. They also encouraged me to report her to the IC3 who works with the FBI on online Internet crime complaints. You can even go the extra mile and contact her internet service provider (which is Comcast) and inform them of the fraud she's committed. They may close her account.

Fraudulent-misrepresentation:
Instance of false statement where (1) the party making the statement is aware that it is false or disregards the possibility of it being false, (2) the party making the statement does so to induce another party to enter into a contract, and (3) the other party enters the contract as a result of the statement and consequently suffers a loss.

Since Wendy was here on 8-17 posting about how someone "stole" her money for roaches, I just wondered if she or Jeane had contacted you, Luis.

I would assume she saw this thread since she took the time to post a derogatory post about someone else. If not ....
