We've got a thousand people out looking for a non-existent 100's of thousands of burmese pythons, when the real threat is something no one in the mainstream wants to talk about...Except the BBC apparently!

They're right I'm afraid (I'm a cat lover but you can't deny their destructive abilities).

Some New Zealand group has called for all domestic pet cats not to be replaced when they die, so that in time cats are removed from New Zealand, which is packed with vulnerable natural fauna.

I think it said that the average domestic cat kills 17 animals per year.

Maybe we can make a case that all those Burmese Pythons in the Everglades will contribute to feral cat control....
