• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I see what I done was wrong and my sales tactic was unfair..I am new to all this, I thought using another pic of the same animal would show it in a better lighr..not to undercut mine or still anothers in any way ..the pictures that were on the internet was better than mine...I also see I make the city of atl look like an even bigger joke by doing this but all posts have been removed 2 of which had nothing but my own photos..the other post had 1 pic I found online

It doesnt matter if ur camera is the crapest camera on the planet, you just dont go stealing other peoples photos of their snakes. People look at snakes and buy for certain patterns that might be different, colors, and blush spots or flames depending on the animal. Then sending an animal that doesnt look like the original pic is deceitful and bad business. Hope you learn from this and start taking pics with your own camera or hook up with a buddy and use his...best of luck Sadiq

Actually, it was three ads and three separate pictures that don't belong to you.

Besides the one posted previously here are the other two.

First,

This one you took off of http://www.burkereptiles.com/Docs/Tplus.htm

Next,

You took this one from another member here.

Considering one has been sold (according to you) I sure would like the buyer to see this.

How about some actual pictures of the animals you own?

I can't help getting a little giggle about the idea that you're getting indignant over the possibility that someone else has pulled the same stunt that landed you here in the spotlight. That's assuming that there's any truth to the claim that you actually took that picture, which, at this point, is likely a much greater leap of faith than most readers are likely to take.

well, shit happens i guess...ill post more that ive taken in the same light...i hope this blows over and my name isnt as tainted later on

Use your own pics, and build your rep. Yelling at a mod, effectively saying "I got caught stealing two or three others BUT THAT ONE IS MINE" isn't a really good idea, either.

Be patient, be honest, and you'll be fine.

Sorry, I hadn't been back on. That was the ad but before you had a picture from Brandi Larson included as well. You deleted that picture. I didn't notice when I grabbed the screenshot.

I'm sure with a little luck I can find a cached page with the imagine on it if you wish to deny it. That's still three.

Yeah....this kind of stunt here blacklists someone from my potential buyers list...if I saw this kinda stuff pop up when doing a query...nuh uh.

I actually like to take pictures of my critters. And try to be proactive when talking to a buyer for anything I sell. Such as when they show interest, I send them a picture of the sale item/animal with their username and date just to give them an accurate up to date picture and proof that it exists and is in my possession. Lots of extra work that might not be necessary but I think being proactive like that looks better than not taking your own pictures and just using someone else's pic just to give a generic "this is what I have but is really better quality than what I have but I hope you don't care to cross check and call me out on it after the sale is done...and we know that only ends up being the chemistry to more bad guy threads on the BOI here.
